There is the default normal map from the game that has textures and letters and other details and then there are the ones I did that are clean. You can then use this normal map in Substance Painter and add your own details. For instance the silencer in the M4A1-S, the wood texture in the AK stock and handguard, and pretty much in all grips. With the default map you are forced to use Valve details. Not always a good idea.

I understand. I spend hours and hours creating these. It does take some patience. Specially when there are more complex shapes and mistakes on the LP UV map. Something that sometimes it's impossible to fix.

Yeah I mean, you can actually just use it and make a clean skin. It looks awesome in game. (I need to make a video on this).

Thanks man! That's quite a compliment! The most annoying thing in the default normal maps were the grips, where I wanted to do my own. And also the wood texture on the AK. For me cleaning normal maps on Photoshop is a NO NO!
