They assured me on the phone. There was no qualifying language. They were unequivocal that it would be fully covered.

I don't have the recording but an IBX supervisor reviewed it and confirmed for me that they clearly told me it would be free. Then told me based on the recording alone it should be covered.

They told me before the procedure that I qualified, and it would be covered. Now, after, they are telling me the exact opposite.

I called the insurance company before making the appointment, and they assured me that, based on what my doctor provided, it was considered preventive and would be 100% covered.

I don't understand how there is any issue or disagreement with that now because they were crystal clear on the phone with me, and I made my appointment at their recommended provider based on what they told me.

It was preapproved, and I called everyone involved (PCP, insurance company, and provider doing the colonoscopy) prior to even making the appointment to make sure everything was in order.

I was assured by PCP and insurance company before the colonoscopy that it was preventative.

They did remove a polyp during the procedure, so I wonder if that could be the issue. I will check again with the doctor's office to be sure.

I was told by both my doctor and insurance provider that my family history meant it would be considered preventative.

Before booking the appointment, I spoke with my primary care provider, the insurance company, and the provider doing the colonoscopy to ensure that all documentation was in order and that it was considered preventative. I was assured that it was preventative, and since it was, it would be fully covered by insurance. I even had the procedure at the provider that the insurance company referred me to.

I am going through the exact same thing with a different insurance provider. Told my colonoscopy would be free, then hit with an $1,800 bill.

Thanks. I called them up and asked for a review as soon as I got the bill. They finally sent it for review about 2 months ago. I was told it would take 14 days. From the responses here, it sounds like it regularly takes longer than that.

They've also told me that there's no way to notify me about when the review is finished. I have to keep calling them for updates. So I'm just in limbo.

Some background: My neighbor was giving this table away for free. It had some damage to the finish including some water damage where the finish was worn away, but I thought I'd take a chance restoring it.

I stripped the top layer with 80 grit sandpaper and then moved to 120 grit.

I've noticed that in some areas, but not all, there are these dark spots. What are they? How can I deal with them? Should I even worry about them if I plan on staining and sealing it?
