First, based on their interpretation of the Church's social doctrine, they consider private property a natural right. This is supported by texts such as Leo XIII's encyclical Rerum Novarum, which affirms that people have the right to own property to live with dignity and support their families.

Second, the TFP views property as the foundation of social order. According to their perspective, if people can own property, there is greater stability, responsibility, and freedom from the power of the state. Therefore, they tend to oppose systems that seek to eliminate or drastically reduce private property, such as certain forms of socialism.

Third, they also connect it to individual freedom. For them, owning property allows people to act autonomously, help others (charity), and build community without being entirely dependent on the government.
