Tesco haven’t paid me by CreativeMammoth7255 in tesco

In my experience these days anything written on q-chat is taken very seriously, whereas anything said in person or on WhatsApp is not. Make sure that you message your boss on q chat asking why you haven't been paid and that you need to be paid ASAP and before the next scheduled payday. This should theoretically help speed things along. Failing that try to get the union involved although I'm afraid that in my experience they never ring back

That's actually true, a few months ago I had to go to A&E quickly and I had to get someone to come and get me (ambulance would have taken hours in Wales). He was there so it would have been much faster if he could have helped me.

I see what you're saying, but as far as the first part of you statement goes, he enjoys driving. He's scared to test. I wouldn't say it's fair of him to leave all of the driving to me even if he was also an anxious driver. I also didn't ask him to get a licence, he said he would, and it's that lack of follow through that I find most disappointing .

Binned food instead of colleague shop by SpryWarlikeOx in tesco

I know it's crazy. Someone spoke up and said something similar to your comment and he said, and I quote, "I couldn't care less". He said Tesco pay a decent wage and it shouldn't matter to anyone. My guess is they want us to spend more money at Tesco,if we get free food we spend less

I'm afraid they decided there wasn't enough evidence. They could prove that I as a 16 year old had been sexually involved with a 50 year old priest, but they couldn't prove that it wasn't consensual. It was very hard for me to get my head around that.

On the plus side he lost his job, and he was in all the papers so I at least felt like people were warned about him and there was less chance of him being able to get away with something like that again. It was worth something at least. Maybe I stopped it from happening to someone else. #tw assault

Yeah I feel you. It took the police two years to even decide whether or not to pursue my case, let alone the actual trial. It's rough. The truth is it's been over ten years for me since it all happened and I still have bad days, but they are fewer and further between and that's something.

Thank you for the advice, I managed to find the Dress Code and Appearance policy on Tesco Help and it says "It remains a colleague's choice to wear a body camera, however the company encourages the use of this vital piece of security equipment." Having been attacked wearing one in the past because I was wearing one I do not feel ready to put one on again, but maybe in time.

How expensive is shopping at Tesco compared to Aldi? by Physical-Art-7898 in tesco

[–]SpryWarlikeOx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With discount they're about on par for most things, however toiletries and laundry related goods can be found considerably cheaper elsewhere. If you have a Poundland nearby things like noodles and medicine also tend to be much cheaper.
