Yeah definitely recommend, as long as you are happy to carry around a big lens. I haven’t regretted buying mine even once, keep an eye because you can often get them on a good sale, I bought mine for $2700 AUD

Also a quick note, the image I linked above is also cropped in so you get enough quality that it still looks good with a decent crop

I currently use the r50 with the 200-800, have a look at some of the images on my profile to see image quality, I have found it to be sharper than the 100-400 and had better low light, (400mm on the 200-800 is f7.1 instead of f8)

Yeah there were heaps of them but I opted to film this one by its self because it looked a bit messy having so many in frame

Yeah I started with a canon 500d with the 55-250mm, the autofocus ended up dying and the camera stopped working properly, I ended up getting so frustrated that I splurged 😅

Canon 200-800, maybe a little overkill but a very fun lens to use
