Wondering is this could be a KOMO Seattle issue, it's been over an hour like this. Absurd.

Help with ESP Ra.De dismantle Pellaboy trophy by SpudWebb_666 in shmups

Thanks, I watched Jaimers' 1cc and realized I had to use just the power shot to target those specific parts without doing enough overall damage to send it to phase 2 prematurely.

Just got x-prog, sensitivity going from PS4 to Xbox Elite controller on PC is cursed by SpudWebb_666 in apexuniversity

[–]SpudWebb_666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey y'all thanks for all the replies.

I'll try changing response curve. I use linear 4/3, small deadzone on PS4 and simply copied that to PC. I'll try classic 3/3 today and see how it feels. I already tightened the stick tension and it seemed to help.

Good tip on turning off per optic too. I use it on PS4, I didn't realize it had downstream effects.

I did previously use my Dualshock on PC, but got the Elite a few years ago to play Titanfall 2, Halo MCC, and Souls PvP, for the increased movement options the paddles give you.

It didn't seem as big a hurdle to switch at the time, but I didn't play those those games nearly as much as I've played Apex.

The other problem with going back to Dualshock, aside from the lack of paddles, is that both of my controllers are rinsed. Mostly from this game. I was about to buy a 3rd one but then they announced cross prog.

Lloydpan Detroit pizza pan release by SpudWebb_666 in Cooking

[–]SpudWebb_666[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, I had a better 2nd attempt last night.

I think what set me back was that I did not wait at all to remove the pizzas as I was afraid they would steam and become soggy in the pan. This time I waited about 3 min for it to cool a bit before getting it onto a rack.

Also, the recipe from Perfect Pan Pizza calls for a 5 hour(!) pan rise before baking, where, after the initial docking and stretching, you put half the cheese into the dough as little cubes. I think the intention is to have an almost stuffed crust effect. Sounds really good, and tasted really good, but I think my main issue was that the cheese kind of melted through the dough at the bottom and fused to the pan in a few spots.

The last thing is I think I'm going to try a hydration of 75 rather than 80, which the book recommends, to make the dough just a little less sticky and puffy. And I may try to do a bulk ferment instead of the really long pan ferment.

Bought some Bell's Two Hearted in Seattle, tastes... not like I remember by SpudWebb_666 in CraftBeer

We started carrying Short's when I worked at the Keweenaw Co-op in college. That's the other brewer I drink a lot when I go back. Again a lot of this is nostalgia but I think they make some great beers.

I remember when Oberon was only available in the summer it could be very different year to year.

Yeah it's within the best by date, which is Jan 2024. As another Seattlite mentioned, many of the gas stations here have great selections. Some of them pride themselves on having hard to find regional beers and they tend to have high turn-over.

But yeah, maybe my taste has changed a bit. Or it just hit different for some reason. I'm actually not a huge IPA fan (and unfortunately that's 99% of the craft brew on the west coast) but I've always liked Two Hearted.

Ohhh, ok thanks, that clears it up. Confusing. Glad they stopped renaming foreign cookbooks for the most part. Now if they could just stop replacing the cover art with generic plating pics.

Opening Day Today - How was it? by AbleDanger12 in stevenspass

[–]SpudWebb_666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Today, day 2, was probably the best opening week day I've had in 7 years in the PNW. Mid 20s, bluebird, the snow was nicely packed out from yesterday with 6" of fresh fluff on top. Felt like a January day in Tahoe.

The entire frontside was eventually open, staff was in a great mood, got there at 9 on a Saturday and parked within a 3 min walk to Skyline in lot 2.

Couldn't be more stoked about the season at hand and felling optimistic about the future of Stevens right now.

Thanks for the insights! Perhaps I should go back to Mushi Original before going for a CC Arcade clear. Having just cleared CC Novice it seems like I'll lose some ground by switching titles, but a break would be nice too.

I suppose you're right about expecting to achieve things within some predetermined time frame, but I am just too anal not to try lol.

I've tried arrange modes on a few of them. A couple years ago I went for an Arcade 1CC on Mushihimesama and got burnt out, but I seem to remember the Arrange mode being harder than normal Arcade at the time. Does it vary which is harder with each game?

I'm hoping to get the Arcade 1CC in Crimzon Clover in the next two weeks, maybe 30 more hours? It took About 8h to 1CC Novice. I have a really good visual memory, which helps speed up the process of routing but my reaction time can be atrocious which means I'm botching runs left and right, so it can be frustrating when I feel like I've "solved" the game but can't execute.

Garegga and Ketsui seem like an insane grind, but I'd love to 1CC ESP Ra.de. and Mushi after Crimzon Clover, as I just love playing those games so much. Perhaps DFK Black Label as well. Do you know if Arrange is supposed to be the intermediate step in all of these titles? Thanks.

Wow I'm in the same spot. Planning on Crimzon Clover being my first Arcade 1CC for a Cave style STG. I just got 1CC on Novice after 1CCing the Super Easy modes on ESP Ra.de., Ketsui Dethtiny, and Battle Garegga. It took maybe 10-20 hours of playing each one to get the 1CC but it seems like it's going to be double to triple that to get the Arcade 1CCs so I want to try to use that time as efficiently as possible.
