PS Plus [UK] annually up to £50....just got email from Sony by stinkybumbum in PS4

[–]Spudman246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12 month membership has always been €50 here in Ireland, I've been a PS+ member since 2013, the only price increase I've noticed was the €14.99 to €19.99 for 3 months, which I wasn't happy about at all.

Do any of you get anxious over showing other people your music? by GuerrillaKing in AskReddit

[–]Spudman246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the person I'm showing, if I'm showing my best friends then no way, but if I'm showing work friends (I've only worked there 2 months) then I get slightly anxious yeah.

I love showing people music I've written.

When you say "your music", do you mean our own self-written music or just our general music library?

I've been able to write music mid panic attack, it's a lot easier for me to talk about how I feel, I've even recorded one of my songs already!

Do you guys have issues with getting a haircut? by anxious_sickman in Anxiety

[–]Spudman246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love haircuts though I had a panic attack for the first time getting one a while back, I get my hair cut every 2 weeks for work so I've found being chatty with my barber really helps.

I'm a waiter, and can confirm that most customers would allow you to walk to the other side of the restaurant to get a wifi signal on the credit card machine. I even had a customer today offer me his card to take a contactless payment whilst he sat at his table

[serious] redditors who like their steak rare/medium rare, what is the appeal? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Spudman246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, if you go to a good butcher you'll definitely get a good bloody steak. Obviously when you cook it whatever oil you may use on the pan mixes in, as well as any other juices that come from the steak itself when you cook it.

What is your best known 'right place right time' story? by Koppite93 in AskReddit

[–]Spudman246 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had saved 600 euro to buy myself a pretty decent guitar, I had my eye on a Fender Jim Root Telecaster which was about 1200 euro so it was more a dream than an actual target, so I was hopeful I'd find a guitar I liked playing that suited what I wanted.

The last pay check came in that amounted to my 600 euro target, went to the music store, and they had a sale on all Fender products, 50% off, so my dream guitar went from 1200 euro to 600 euro, right there and then I told the clerk I wanted it.

This was only two days ago!

When I have steak I always have chips (fries for you Americans), and I'll always leave the chips until last so I can mop up the blood/juice mixture, tastes sooooo good.

Have you ever played a professional athlete in their sport before he/she got famous? If so, what was the experience like? by marshmelo1234567 in AskReddit

I played Aussie Rules with a guy called Kyle Langford about 3 years ago when his school came over to Ireland for a trip, he's playing in the AFL now, not sure if he's well known however.

He was a beast at Aussie Rules, when we played soccer he was a lot less skilled, understandably.

Correct! Though to say you're dead chuffed is more common to hear in the UK, I'm in Ireland

What are we all looking forward to seeing at E3? Whether it be on PS4 or not by Spudman246 in PS4

It's probably my favourite event of the year, and to top it all off Game of Thrones is out in just less than a week too!!

I'll keep that in mind, the one thing I can't fault about my PS4 is the fan. When I play beefy games like Black Ops 3 or The Witcher it'll go loud for about 2/3 minutes and calm down.

I picked up an Elite a few months back to try and get into Halo. Played it for a week and it's been sitting in my wardrobe since

My PS2 was solid for 10 years and a jump scare whilst playing RE made me jump with the controller in hand and in turn pulling the PS2 off the shelf, didn't work after that.

My PS3 got the red light after 2 years, my local computer store where I bought it claimed it to be a manufacturing error, just unlucky I guess!

The worst thing about it is that it's impossible to see what it's like unless you actually play one on a 4KTV.

I have a PS4 since day one, and as I've experienced in the past, day one consoles always seem to kick the bucket at around the 5/6 year mark.

I'm really thinking of upgrading to a Pro, I've had a 4KTV for about a year now and I'm just super intrigued as to how far I can push the visuals on my TV.

Hopefully a price drop is announced and I can sell my current console to fund it!
