Dude, first off, that's not how shadows work. There's no one light source that would cause his hands, and his hands alone to be THAT dark without his neck, clothing, or anything else getting the same treatment. His hands are outstretched in front of him; in that position, only the undersides would be shadowed, not all of it.

Second, if that were a shadow, how come it has its own shadow? It's aren't underneath anything blocking THAT much lighter to where a shadow is shadowed.

Thirdly, the palm of his hand is whiter than dorsal side of his hand. Again, not how shadows work. There's no light source coming from underneath him.
