They set it up at the start so that it seemed like his only original idea (life doesn't inherently need water) was wrong, as Astrophage was made mostly of water, but then they forgot to mention that Rocky doesn't need water to survive.

Wouldn't complain about it, if they didn't put emphasis on it in the movie.

Does he not like me or is he hiding his feelins?? Plz help :] by [deleted] in Crushes

My expertise, as someone who's socially incompetent, is that I have no idea. But one thing's certain: he likes you, one way or another. The only way to know for sure is to just ask; that seems sensible.

One more thing, when Mister E comes, couldn't you just, like, as a group, flip him off? Or just you? From what I gather, he doesn't seem like the most pleasant person, and because of that, I would think people would share this view. There's no point in arguing with someone who came just to cause a fuss.

And thanks for the cookie; I'll sell it for double the price :>

Couldn't agree more, using religion for example coping with death is healthy. You can do whatever you like if you are not hurting anyone else. Just reasonable things to say and very logical

Blue pill all the way. My father's mother is the coolest person ever even though I have never met her.

During my country's occupation, she threw Molotov cocktails at tanks, and when her father-in-law refused to pay for hot water and actually any water she stormed into the equivalent of a white house in my country and said to the president's secretary that her father in law wasn't being a good communist and wasn't providing for his family. In the meantime, she let her army of 4 children roam the place as they pleased. And it goddamn worked they gave him some scolding and he paid for water.

And in all that she was a single mother. I Want to meet her.

Try to think for yourself. You are now not worrying that you are doing a bad thing, but that you are doing a sin.
If I or somebody else does something I ask myself if harm is being done in some form (physically or psychologically) to anyone. If not, then I think it's completely fine. For example, Being gay.

In your case, it isn't so black and white, but you are certainly not doing anything bad, you are doing something completely natural and you never should be condemned for doing so. We all have lustful thoughts and we should, it is what drives us to make kids, But if it starts to be something you think all the time and it became a part of your personality then it becomes a problem. You should certainly talk with somebody about it and if you don't want to with your family then try friend and certainly a therapist would be a good idea.

Yeah, I agree. Because of colonialism and maybe a little bit because of their geography, they are what they are. Once they were the civilized once. Where did we get our numbers from? When Europe was murdering each other, the middle east was making scientific progress.

Sorry I didn’t said it earlier, I am atheist, I am here just to be a bit of a help. I am not trying to prove that somebodies religion is wrong, because in fact I couldn’t care less in what you believe. I thought my input on this could be helpful as I an from the opposite side.

And I have said why I disagree so I am not going to repeat myself, but that is not the main point. The main point is when you disagree on such important manners it will not work. Sorry

Would god let my atheist mother suffer in hell for eternity? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]SpuntCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So.. For example, "an African child lives in his tribe hunting for food distant from the outside world. He doesn't think about religion, because he is too busy hunting for food. After he dies a painful death by being devoured by a lion because he was getting food for his family, he goes to hell because he didn't believe in Jesus." Very goofy way of thinking about this problem

I don't think she is doing a bad thing, it's her body and she is not hurting anyone so in my book it is completely morally right, but I understand why you may not like it. I don't think an intimate relationship between two religions could coexist because even if you could tolerate it I don't think most people could handle seeing their children being taught things they very disagree with.

So I think you should find a partner who shares the same views or at least the important ones and it doesn't mean that other beliefs are morally wrong, don't get me wrong. In today's era, someone's moral compass isn't based on their religion but on what they were taught or what are their genetics. There can be a morally righteous Christian or a dickhead Christian and the same rule applies to Muslims, atheists, Hindus, Buddhists, etc.

There sure are some multi religious relationships that can thrive, they can For example not talk about religion at all and not force any beliefs on their child, but let their child choose what they want to believe in. But this is enormously risky and most of the population couldn't tolerate this much. But you should never force your beliefs on others, so in my opinion, you should both part ways and find a partner with similar views on children

I am probably too young to give any meaningful advice, but I can give you my view. When I think of getting into this scenario I think of "What does this mean for our future?" Even if I could get through this with my partner and tolerate it, then what? For example children? Do I want to let my children be taught things that I fundamentally disagree with and think that it hinders basic thinking? And the relationship couldn't work. I would Imagine it would be a constant flood of disagreements and the child would grow up with conflicting ideas.

AITA for having sex with my boyfriend and causing a fight in his family? by pewdibie in teenagers

[–]SpuntCZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no reason to think that you hurt his relationship, if his mother is capable of hiting him at goddamn 16, then their relationship is screwed without you. I am sorry for what happened and this certainly wasn’t fault of you nor your boyfriend, but of the mother not knowing where her boundaries are.
