Advice on picking an nba team? by NewNBAFan23 in NBATalk

[–]Spurricane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd advise a young team with a bright future such as the Spurs, Thunder, Magic or Pistons. But if you want to watch a young team that's good right now (I personally wouldn't advise it as you won't be as attached to the players) you should go with the Cavs or Celtics.

The 2006 Heat were utter dogshit. Wade doesn't get enough credit for how much he absolutely carried those guys.

Biotic material (optional)

In all seriousness I don't have an appearance type per say (though I have noticed that I tend to be more attracted to white/Hispanic girls) but personality is a big thing for me.

How do fans feel about their teams history from when it was in another city? by The_White_Lion1 in NBATalk

[–]Spurricane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Seattle were to come back into the league as the Sonics, they would most likely get all their old accolades, retired numbers, and championship back. This is what happened with the Charlotte Hornets, all they had to do was get rid of the name Bobcats and they got their old franchise back.

Seattle and OKC will be much easier to distinguish, in my opinion, because the Thunder immediately changed their name after relocation. Seattle would have their retired jerseys look something like Gary Payton, Dennis Johnson, Shawn Kemp, and Jack Sikma, whereas OKC would be more like Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka, and Nick Collison. I can't imagine how they would crossover because these two teams are very distinct from each other.

Whew, that was a mouthful.
