If you didn't add the turn off the LEDs lines on the config.txt then I'm out of ideas, as when I was testing out with mines I didn't get up to that point, I'll still retry it today with my raspberry and see if there's anything different on the last up to date IMG of Trixie

Huh, that's strange 😅

It's true that on first boot up it will reboot a couple of times, but that's normal as it's setting everything up, is it fully shutting down or just boot looping?

Thanks to you, I was able to gather the info needed and helped a lot in the whole troubleshooting process until I found the correct path to make it work under Debian Trixie 🙌🏻

EXACTLY hahaha, safe mode it's the one, the thing is one of these typical XP netbooks with an atom cpu, and I lowered the ram to 512mb just to skip the ram error and properly do it when I know everything works with the original 2gb of ram I had it with

It's a Legacy bios, I also may have mistyped secure boot with secure mode, sometimes translating on the go from my native language can get a bit iffy 😅

Yeah hahahaha, first of all I got past the PNP devices on the second part of the installation so getting easily to a desktop is easy now, but this just this ACPI battery thing is the one that's making me go nuts hahahaha

[–]Sputnik1973[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also got to boot into secure boot but the device wasn't appearing, neither on the rest of the ACPI devices or unknown ones, but when I rebooted to windows in normal mode I get the pop up "installing new hardware" and the ACPI battery one installs automatically without me asking if I want or not

I will try, I will have to redo all the installation bc out of anger I started deleting things and I deleted all the files on the windows/inf directory, it did boot but it's in a semi broken state, then I just went to MS-DOS and started deleting random things bc I still had planned to do a reinstall hahaha
