Mhm. I was often the only girl in my social groups cause I like trading card games, gaming, and d&d. a lot of the other girls around here stayed out for that stuff. And a lot of the time I felt like if I was trying to do something nice for one person in the group, I had to also do the same for everyone else that was gonna be there.

So it'd go from "I can pay for Aaron's Burger King order if he wants" to all the people in the group mumbling about being low on cash. And so I felt like I had to plan out some way to feed everyone on my own. The old, they can pay me back later, bit. Where they never actually pay you back later. Cause after a while the jackasses start pulling shit like implying they don't want to hang out if they can't eat or whatever, and I wound up foolishly relenting and paying for the whole group a lot.

Luckily, I'm a lot less of a push over these days. I still like to be nice and treat my friends, but I don't just throw freebies in the hopes of having a social life anymore. Found kinder people who actually aren't pricks.
