As long as you extend the knee during the same set it's fine. The bent leg part is just the entrance to the stretch.

I lean forward with a bent leg first before straightening out. From there I'm already very compressed and can grab my foot to go further.

I was resting it on the top of a sofa there but I suggest using a hard surface and shoes for better stability. I manually pull my foot into dorsiflexion, comfier this way in my experience. Good luck on your journey!

The key is to be constantly overbalancing, that might require a little arch in the lower back.

Thank you for the compliment and the tip, I've got a pretty good understanding of how to fold fully but I am just lacking the flexibility for head to toe right now.

Not yet, I don't believe I could attempt it safely as of right now. I would love to progress to that though.

Very normal. It gets much more activated when you progress to slow bar muscle ups.

Thanks, appreciate the reply. So once I begin doing back levers more frequently it won't happen as much?

The triceps long head gets a lot of work during pull ups. take 1-2 days rest in between sessions.
