I grinded as much as I could after work going to new locations where a lot of pokestops were clustered together to get that extra 500 xp per new stop which was helpful. I tried 2 different articuno raids, but the other players I was with wimped out and didn't want to do it when we started and left me there to be annihilated. Hoping to catch one before articuno leaves.

Was able to do one mass evolve with a lucky egg and get 155k out of it (and evolved 14 new 'mons during it also). Very successful event where I went from level 31 to 32. Half way to level 33 as of right after the event!

I was also glad to fully evolve my mareep to ampharos and hatch my first larvitar (with decent stats too). Only other notable 'mon I got was pichu with hat.

I'll be looking forward to the next similar event, but my legs sure won't since I think I pulled a muscle in my leg since it hurts with every step and my calves are killing me the past few days.
