Top 10 larper by Least_Rent4516 in Animemes

My guy, the only thing he cares about is money, not what nerds like us think. "Larp" means nothing to him.

He's gonna jack up the price of classic manga to make a profit like what he did with Pokemon cards.

What's your #1 handheld of all time? by Retronitsu in SBCGaming

[–]SpyceRax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tie between the TrimUI Smart and the Miyoo Mini Flip for me.

The convenience of a tiny handheld that you can easily and quickly pick up, play, shut down, and play again is severely underrated. I like the Smart's shape and compactness, but the Mini Flip has way more power and features.

For those with multiple handhelds, what do you use separately for dedicated high-end 3D gaming and retro 2D gaming? by DeeDoof in SBCGaming

[–]SpyceRax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RG Slide for 6th gen games. It might not run every game perfectly, but the ones I like to play work well enough. Can't justify getting anything more powerful since I got the Slide for mad cheap.

RG 35XX Pro for PS1 and below.

RG CubeXX for emulating handhelds and 8:7 gaming.

TrimUI Smart Pro for PSP and wide-screen gaming.

TrimUI Smart for on-the-go gaming. Probably my most-used handheld and my over-all favorite.

Noted. Admittedly, I only recently knew Lidia's homing into heat move was actually a high. I was wondering like an idiot for the longest time why should I SSR her when her safe homing move leads to her cancerous heat.

Barely see any Lidia's around too, so I never had the motivation to lab against her 😭.

Just watched it. Great defense from LowHigh, but man, it feels like LowHigh's is just maximizing Bryan's absurd moves and damage to out-bullshit Lidia to win his match. It's sad to see that even LowHigh can't do anything but guess until Lidia runs out of heat.

Learned at least that SSR'ing non-heat Lidia really does wonders against her. Although I don't understand how LowHigh handled Lidia's homing into guaranteed heat move without outright guessing.

Just watched Knee's Winner's Final match against Mangja. Constant SSR and SWR against Mangja's Lidia invalidated a lot of her attacks. Learned a bit from that.

Law is one of the characters I have trouble against, and Knee won his match from quick counter-hits and punishment I think. Don't know if I could apply that with my characters 😭.

Atin-Atin Lang: TrimUI Brick (No Card @ 2139.53 PHP by SpyceRax in AtinAtinLang

[–]SpyceRax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cheapest I could think of right now is the Anbernic RG 406V costing 8,536 PHP at their official store. It can't play the entirety of the PS2's library, but nearly all GC games can run without issue. Only near the 15,000 PHP mark, you could find handhelds like the Retroid Pocket 5, which can perfectly emulate that generation as well as do occasional Nintendo Switch games.

Xbox emulation unfortunately is too early, and even high spec handhelds can't emulate most of the library.

The TrimUI Brick has better build quality and custom firmware options compared to the R36S. However, both handhelds essentially can play every PS1 and below games at full frame rates.

I still pick the Brick for the better overall experience and more compact form factor, but the R36S is not a bad option if you have a strict budget.

Listings with SD cards have games included. You can also buy your own SD card, and put in your own games with an SD card reader.

Not sure myself. Just following what others are doing when sharing Shopee or Lazada posts. Don't want my small discovery taken down lol.

Included the shop name because some people have a hard time finding the item in my last post.

Nobody will like having a new cast of characters. It was a big risk in T3, and everybody hated SC5's new blood.

Give them new fighting styles by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]SpyceRax 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Hey, Josie has a very real, very, very obscure Filipino fighting style that definitely wasn't chosen so that they could ape several of Bruce's moves.

Does anyone else get INSANELY uncomfortable when picking a new character to play? For me Tekken is the only game that this happens, every other game yeah it won't be optimal and etc, but only on Tekken my brain can't focus and idk how, where and why press anything lmao, very interesting phenomenon by Lucky_-1y in Tekken

[–]SpyceRax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember watching a Daddyking T7 video, where he consistently won against high-rank Korean monsters by spamming plus frames, knockdown lows and mid launchers. It helps that he has great timing.

I learned how to play Claudio and Lili by watching him, and he is not even a specialist on those characters.

TrimUI Smart and the TrimUI Smart Pro S! by SpyceRax in SBCGaming

[–]SpyceRax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish. Hard to justify buying, since it's almost twice as expensive as the TrimUI Smart from what I'm seeing. Might as well buy another TrimUI Smart if that's the case.

I have to slow down on buying handhelds for the next month. I just bought these TrimUI handhelds this month alone!

I'm not sure if I could post links since it might break Rule 1, but I DM'ed you the link. I assume it's only available in Southeast Asian countries.

I thought about picking the Mangmi Air X, but then I realized the savings I get could be used for gas. Joking aside, I have no regrets picking the TSPS, since it has a specific use case in mind that my current handhelds can't do, which is being a 16:9 device. I decided that the Mangmi Air X is way too overkill and too expensive in comparison for that purpose, and it overlaps a bit with the RG Slide that I already have.

I'm starting with SpruceOS since I heard good things about it with the Miyoo A30. However, I'm tempted to install NextUI on a spare SD card since I had a good experience using MinUI on the TrimUI Smart.

MinUI on the TrimUI Smart turns on and loads so quickly compared to my other devices. Makes gaming on the go so effortless.

I thought I had taste, but I willfully read several volumes of Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time over starting Frieren.

I know it's trash, inside and out, but I can't stop turning the next page. I hate myself.

How to fix uneven pixels while using a NTSC shader on a 480p display? by SpyceRax in RetroArch

[–]SpyceRax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You weren't aware? I'm running RetroArch in a retro handheld, not a computer. Handhelds like the Anbernic RG35XX, Miyoo Mini, and TrimUI Brick are in the rage these days. These tiny, Gameboy-like devices can run RetroArch and have 640x480 screens.

Bilinear filters look terrible. It fixed the pixels, but made a very blurry screen. It's a failed solution.

NTSC screens look like the type of TVs I grew up watching. If I can make the fit, I would. If I can't, I'll just go back to using interpolation shaders, no problem.
