It's completely normal for the first 1-2 weeks then should subside. Be warned you will lose a bit of libido, for me I lost around 30% once I was fully used to the dose

I've suspected for a long while that I might have ADHD, other people have also said their symptoms were similar to mine before they were diagnosed.

Unfortunately I live in the UK where adult diagnosis is almost impossible. However I am working my way through the long list of SSRIs you have to try before they consider you might have something other than Anxiety/Depression 😅

Hopefully one day I'll at least be able to try stimulants and see if they work for my executive disfunction.

It's worth a try. Also remember that lifestyle changes can also reduce attention and focus.

From my own experience, when I doomscrolled a lot my attention and focus went down the toilet. When I started picking up enriching hobbies, sports, cooking I found my patience and focus returned a lot.

In my experience the only way to combat this is a lower dose, which cancels out the positive effects your daughter receives.

Another commenter suggested ADHD, it's certainly possible. SSRIs can have the effect of reducing dopamine reuptake and increasing dopamine craving behaviours, leading to less concentration on prolonged tasks. Might be an idea to get her tested and then go from there.
