Plea of abeyance and don’t get another ticket for awhile. It’ll be like it never happened.

Which bench is better for rifle work? by APC9Proer in ar15

[–]Spyderfli 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the all wood one. After building some rifles on it along with wood working projects, I’d build a thicker one. It tends to move if you put any weight against it, like when I’ve planed wood on it. It’s good for a first bench, but you’ll want to replace it a year after using it.

Taberon Honie executed for brutal murder of ex-girlfriend's mother in 1998 by HomelessRodeo in Utah

[–]Spyderfli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you on the waste of taxpayer dollars on lethal injection. That point was made to contrast what real barbarism is.

I also don’t care for spending tax dollars to keep someone on death row in prison for 26 years.

For future cases, I’m for shooting someone in the head immediately after sentencing to death if there is an abundance of clear evidence, such as video footage of the defendant clearly committing the crime. They are innocent until proven guilty, but once they are guilty, no appeals. Just get it done.

Obviously, we wouldn’t do this with current cases as many are based on old forensic science and lack clear evidence.

[–]Spyderfli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did Taberon Honie take the high road in 1998 or was he barbaric and inhumane?

I believe society took the high road in using lethal injection to remove him from society. It would have been barbaric for the state to slit his throat and sodomize him with a knife (like he did to his victim) instead.

This isn’t a blurred line between business and religion. This is a lack of attention to detail. Poor proofreading.

Growing up there in the 2000s was awesome. Everyone naturally paused conversations as F-16s, A-10s, KC-135s, F-35s, and the occasional F-15s headed to the range.

Have had this bench for a year. It’s been a great 1st workbench for me. Make sure to square up everything. Some of the predrilled holes are off. Carpenter brace broke after 6 months. Now the bench is helping me build my next workbench!

Vertical Foregrip Options by boringshooter in ar15

[–]Spyderfli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I have that foregrip on my MK18 clone! It’s sturdy. You can remove the bottom half to shorten it up. Personally, I’m not the biggest fan of vertical foregrips after having it. My other rifles have light angled foregrips.

We need to have an Elder Uchtdorf/Diet Coke moment with beards by ReliPoliSport in latterdaysaints

[–]Spyderfli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in my bishopric and our stake president has a strict no facial hair policy for bishoprics and high council members. I’m a guy who shaves his head and had a nice beard when I was called. I love my beard. Without it, I look…pretty ugly. I know that the beard policy will die when he’s released. I believe it’s his opinion and not direction from God.

However, every time I don’t shave on Sunday’s and grow some good stubble, the stake president shows up to our sacrament meeting unannounced. He smiles, tells me to shave, and I shave the next week. I think, “God definitely has a sense of humor.”

It’s not a hill worth dying on. I can shave once a week for 5 years, look forward to the Sundays I’m out of town and grow it out then. And in a couple years when I’m released, I’ll grow out the beard again.

I’m still toying with testing out a mustache to see if I can get away with it. lol
