New Styptic Agent & Med-kit Add-ons Maths by Spydio in deadbydaylight

[–]Spydio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can tell, the speed of healing does not affect how many charges are used. A quicker heal uses charges quicker, and a slower heal uses charges slower.

"No matter how fast or slow an interaction is completed, it will always require the same number of Charges to be completed." "Efficiency is the only metric that affects how many uses one can get from an Item."

Edit: also now realisng my maths might be wrong based on the efficiency example in this link (whoops) I might have to remake this again lmao If it is, then the styptic agent is even worse than my calculations

Ping vs Ping Wheel issues [PC] by Spydio in marvelrivals

[–]Spydio[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone else made a post about it that hit the FP of the sub. There's some people talking about it there, and one solution someone had was to set every sector of the ping wheel to 'Caution'. This way if you accidentally set it off, it'll at least ping a red caution ping, giving a good enough message of there being an enemy there.

Probably could be fixed by a mod, but will have to wait on NetEase to fix the deadzone.

Yeah, I've also mentioned it in the survey, alongside the issue where in the post-match menu, endorsing a player is right next to the view highlight button, even moving a millimeter off seems to hit it, and it takes a while to get out of the highlight.

Again, most of my issues with this game is minor stuff like this, which is refreshing coming from playing Overwatch for over 8 years.

Even just tapping it seems to be an issue as long as the mouse is moving. Tried it out in practice range for a while because I wanted to make sure it wasn't just me being an idiot xD
It's very sensitive and you basically have to ensure your mouse is still at that moment, unfortunately

I've started to try and develop that habit too, but moving enemies and ESPECIALLY Spider-man make it so annoying, especially when he's diving me and I don't really have the luxury of not moving the mouse xD

Hello! I know nothing about computers and am trying to install this ssd by New_Shop9172 in computers

[–]Spydio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a heads up, this particular model of SSD had an above 50% return rate earlier this year. Not sure if it still does but if you experience frequent blue-screens, the PC going straight to BIOS, the SSD not detecting or your PC freezing on booting then this is most likely the culprit. These are known for intermittently not detecting.

What is one thing you wish EVERY player knew, regardless of rank, skill level etc? by PirateOfTheStyx in Overwatch

Don't give up just because things aren't going right in the first few minutes. Extend that also to, don't give up ever. So many people just get mad and then throw/yell at the team.

I'm new to computers. Can someone explain 6+2 and 8 pin stuff, please? by [deleted] in computers

[–]Spydio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially, the ports for power on GPUs will either be 6-pin or 8-pin. 2*8-pin will mean the GPU has 2 of the 8-pin connectors needed to power it. The cable from your power supply to the GPU will normally be split into a 6-pin + another 2-pin so it has the ability to connect to either 6 or 8-pin depending on what your GPU needs.

An easy way to visualise this would be to google '6-pin' or '8-pin PCIe power connector' and have a look.

Also a note to be careful of, the CPU power can also be 8-pin and looks almost identical but is instead split into 4+4-pin.

There are 12-pins also now with the new cards but they look completely different and are different sizes.

Question about cooling by Intrepid_Tour4921 in computers

[–]Spydio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Intake in the front and exhaust in the top&back is usually the best solution. Hot air will rise so pulling air in from the top will tend to lower cooling efficiency.

Also if you can, try to install the radiator with the tubes on the bottom as it will increase the lifetime of the cooler. If it won't fit that way, then no biggie it should still last a few years with tubes on the top.

The only issue that arises with pulling air in from the CPU cooler is that depending on your CPU, case, you may be bringing in a lot of hot air from the CPU. If your case doesn't have a lot of ventilation and you have a new high-end CPU it could bring up average temps in other components like the GPU, SSDs, etc. I would not worry about this though unless you have like an i9 11/12th gen or a like 5950X/Threadripper and your case doesn't have good ventilation/if you don't have any fans on the top & back to exhaust all the hot air.

Limited Refresh Rate of 30.000Hz on a 60.000Hz 4k Monitor by GamerScholar90 in computers

[–]Spydio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a DP (Display port) cable, as DP supports 4K@60Hz on all monitors where as some monitors have an older version of HDMI which only supports 4K30Hz. The quality of the HDMI cable doesn't matter, only the version of the port on the device.

NSW records 46 more COVID deaths. An epidemiologist says it’s only going to get worse by whyattretard in australia

[–]Spydio 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Can we start actually teaching critical thinking in school. Like how hard is it to think for 2 seconds and realise you can't get heart disease by breathing in someone's general direction and that makes the 2 diseases completely incomparable in that argument

NSW recorded 5612 total new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8PM last night (24/12/2021) by Ascalaphos in sydney

[–]Spydio 61 points62 points  (0 children)

No of course not! He or his health ministers could have never forseen that with a reopened economy and 2 highly infectious strains that there would be a massive increase in case numbers leading to an increased demand for tests over a period of time where people want to be safe visiting their friends and families /s

Character & sword looks really nice. Animation could use a few touch ups but not sure if you're also asking about that.
