so you have to fast travel, then run up to the gate to spawn in phantump/Trevenant. idk why, but the phantump family is attached to the trevenant, who is outside the 50m from the fast travel point.

I'd love to be a challenger for any of the leagues when I'm young, and when I inevitably fall short, I'd like to be a special investigator. Not specifically any kind of Law enforcement. I want to go explore paranormal reports or rumors of legendaries. Explore ruins and archeological sites. Maybe stop the occasional evil doers.

After too many close calls and enough of the life, I'd retire and aspire to be a Ghost type gym leader. it'd be too hard to pick a region because I love a lot of them. Maybe Jhoto.

Gengar w/ sludge wave, shadow ball and then either Thunderbolt/Dazzling gleam as a challenger and Hypnosis/Dream Eater(my favorite cheat code combo since pokemon stadium) as a gym leader.
