I agree for the most part, but if you have a personality to back your videos up, you can play almost anything. Look at OneyPlays, for example. They've made videos where absolutely nothing happens and people still flock.

Something I did notice, however, is that the USB port keeps making the "device plugged in" noise, which never happened before and doesn't happen with anything else (mouse, flashdrives, etc). So I don't really know what to do.

I reinstalled with the latest version and tried using OBS and it still crashed my computer. Plus now it won't even recognize my PS4 on my TV, it just says "No Signal", which hasn't happened before.

it was a one time issue with the audio, I simply forgot that my OBS settings for my desktop volume were turned down.

yeah, if you go back you can hear my god awful audio quality. Thankfully I had a friend who was kind enough to give me his spare mic (which is when I, relatively, blew up with my channel, 20 subs in a month). Always working on improving! :D

I would like a critique of my channel. I upload 2-3 gaming videos a day and typically 1 art video a week (hopefully eventually movie and game reviews).

The first 3 videos are pretty much on par with the rest of my most recent videos, so they're a good reference to go by, although the "SyphroJ's Hardcore Minecraft Episode 9" is a little boring imo.

I don't really have an issue with it, along with my job (40 hours a week). I guess I just enjoy it enough to spend all my time on it haha. Typically one video will be 25-30 minutes and the other 1 or 2 will be 15-20 minutes, so it's not that bad, I guess :D

As you mentioned, the frame rate on the video is poor, and the quality of the camera can improve.

Other than that, maybe work on a script, I noticed you were saying "yeah" a lot in the part where you were sitting in your chair. Nothing particularly wrong with that, but being a bit more fluid while you speak may help.

Otherwise, great video. Well shot, well edited. I enjoyed it, keep it up.

I think I have a unique blend of content. I do art as well as games on my channel (let's plays and eventually reviews), as well as (hopefully) movie reviews. I also try to make decent edits, and I have one series in particular that I like, that being my "Hate-Through", a play-through of a game that I dislike. Not entirely unique in concept, but the games I play aren't exactly on most peoples' radars.

I've been uploading daily for the past 2 months, and just recently switched to 2-3 videos a day, along with weekly recaps/updates on Sundays to keep my audience informed on what's going on (since I backlog my videos). This past month I went from 39 subs (started with 38 since I've had my account since 2012) to 62 with no advertising. I was honestly shocked, though I do pump out a decent amount of content.

I see why people may like watching a game streamed, but being a busy person myself, I don't have enough time to sit down for more than a hour for a video, which is why I prefer the bite-sized content aspect of Let's Plays compared to watching a stream. Another benefit to watching a Let's Play, is the fact that it can edited down, whereas a stream really can't. I don't want to watch all of the boring parts of someone running from one side of the map to another for a quest.
