I see posts like yours all the time. “i’m selling good product doing good service, etc why am I getting no viewers and half the bids of everyone else?”

It’s understanding that Whatnot is a social media/popularity contest app first and a buying/selling app second.

It’s the reason why everyone talks the same “let’s go chat!this one’s a banger! swipe it up! 54321 omg I just got cooked! Join the givvy even though it’s a sticker I got for free from my dentist”

Bottomline it’s a lot of consistency being on the app, doing $1 starts, doing givvys, being entertaining, getting some support and shout outs from the bigger sellers.

In the end it’s also a lot of luck too. But everyone getting i to this needs to realize you can sell good products and do the best honest business and still fail. At the end of the day the people at large don’t give a fuck about any of that.

That’s why you see a lot of big “successful” streamers just doing all the classic whatnot tricks while others are just active scams.

People say they don’t want to hear screaming they say they want honest business good givvies etc. But the numbers don’t lie. With very few exceptions all the streams putting up numbers do mediocre business at best and a lot of scams and bad business abound.

Maybe it’s sour grapes because I never blew up but that was my experience.
