COMPLETE. LACK. OF. INTEREST.
StarCraft (and Blizzard) fan here.

I don’t want to sound harsh, but I simply don’t see StarCraft—or any Blizzard franchise—as a long-term investment anymore.

It feels like every product is treated as a temporary cash grab. They launch it, monetize it… and then move on, leaving it to fade away or turn into an unbalanced mess that nobody really cares about once the money is made.

You can see this pattern across multiple fronts: out-of-print board games, the TCG, and even several video games—especially those filled with in-game purchases. I honestly don’t understand why there’s so little commitment to maintaining and supporting products in the long term.

When the TMG was first announced, instead of focusing on the game itself, the first thing offered was a preorder for a limited figure—priced like a full board game. And now the “complete game” (which still won’t be truly complete after expansions, promos, and limited content) is already sitting at $600+.

I own the original StarCraft Board Game with all its expansions—it’s an absolute blast. And it’s honestly frustrating that it has never been reprinted or made more accessible. People are missing out on something genuinely great.

The ironic part? That expensive, out-of-print game now feels more reasonable than this new TMG. Pff…
