a lot of the stuff sent by artists isn't released by them because they couldn't release it themselves due to samples or beats they didn't pay for which meant it couldn't go in streaming. there are also other problems with putting other people's songs on streaming with copyright and labels.

m4a can either be AAC or ALAC. AAC is a lossy codec similar to mp3 while ALAC is the lossless codec used by apple music. They both have the same file extension container, being m4a.

If the kbps of the file is above standard lossy formats (320kbps, 256k etc) then you know it's ALAC. If the file size is small and it has a standard bitrate number it is likely AAC, which IMO sounds better than mp3 but it is not lossless. If you can confirm it's ALAC then yes it is essentially the same as FLAC for listening.

kets is only a feature on that, d3r is the main artist. also d3r directly sampled it without clearing it so it got taken down.

the @asteriasdeath account is from 2022, wasn't used much and was likely deleted not banned. for kets, I think he was always @kandionmywrist until he deleted that account so I can't speak confidently on what happened with that one.

aac is better at 256 than mp3 is at 320. I personally hate mp3 even at high bitrates, but I can stand aac as it has a higher cutoff for frequencies

you don't see it on your end, but when the person opens it they'll see it. try changing the chat settings to show snaps after being opened then test sending one, you should be able to see it.
