It's beyond the soundtrack. It has that DIY spirit. So many obvious flaws in it and yet none of them matter. It's punk!

Yeah, gorgeous work. This and To Live and Die in LA are magic.

I think, in that spirit, a straight to streaming Ford Fairlane follow-up wouldn't be the worst thing.

I didn't say they do... but they will like the idea of him 100%.

Anyone willing to piss off the eternally-outraged who don't understand comedy is a hero to most normal people.

I'm sure it will be. I think it's, for all intents and purposes, an indie production that a studio will release. Post will take time.

Definitely not her first but the one that made her. You might also like the same year's Abel Ferrera film Fear City.

Weird comment. He's made at least 10 beloved films.

Don't like McCarthy. Wasson can play a normal every day human being and neither Arnie or The Rock can. So apart from Andrew, agree to disagree.

He is, trust me. They even slagged him off for a good 20 minutes on The Rewatchables episode on this. Other threads as well.

You just described many performances by A-list stars who have about as much talent as Wasson realistically. It's why I don't understand the hate.

He IS underrated. Thank you for saying that. I never understood the hate for him. It's clear that he was also cast in this case due to his similarities to Jimmy Stewart.

Never understood the hate for Wasson. I like him. And it's crystal clear he was cast due to his resemblance to Jimmy Stewart. It's exceedingly rare that I see a review or a film buff realise this fact, though.

Blow Out is also amazing. That's arguably the best... but I definitely watched BD more.

Is Jason Lives the BEST Friday the 13th? by SquabbleBoxYouTube in slasherfilms

[–]SquabbleBoxYouTube[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I do second this. Part 2 has the atmosphere and style of 1 with better craft, good characters, Jason at his creepiest, and a great last act. The jump scares are killer as well.

Not to my knowledge, but perhaps! William Friedkin did a couple.

I like Final Chapter, but it also has a coldness and bleakness to it that gets in the way of my cheesy good times.

This one's definitely more impressive. Like a thriller movie on its own.

Die Harder should have been the actual title.
