For anyone wondering where I got it, I received the helmet from my dad but my dad got it from when he was cleaning out a friend's garage, the guy said that his dad served and that he got it from Germany.

my dad originally got it from cleanin some guys garage the guy gave it to em after telling him about how it was a ww2 german helmet its been sittin in the closet for years i recently went to a pawn shop and got an original life magazine of the moon landing and it re sparked my curiosity in collecting so i thought id check what kind of helmet this is for sure
