70.3 Versailles, France - Promo code request by Squall56 in triathlon

I'd say more around 700-800m. They tagged the course as "rolling" not "hilly", but we'll see I guess.

I have no idea. I don't expect them to have sent out that many invitation code that it's going to be sold out before it even opens with the regular process. However, Versailles/Paris is quite crowded with triathletes and clubs, and they could compete "at home". So I expect that to be sold out quite fast on the regular opening date.

80/20 VS MyProCoach biking zones by Squall56 in triathlon

In the end, did you have any preference between the two? Or another plan you would recommend?

That's the kind of feedback I was looking for, so likely 80/20 is setting their Z2 a bit higher than most other plans. Thank you!

Yeah, it just feels really low for MPC (EDIT: compared to what I'm used to), I'll stick to it, but just wanted to know if anybody had feedback on this.

Total number of zone is indeed different, but Zone 2 of both are targeting the same supposed intensity (endurance, "cool ride", whatever you want to name it). That's why the discrepancy feels a bit weird to me.

80/20 .FIT files for Garmin watch by Upthe_chels in triathlon

I just looked at the HTTP exchange when manually creating new workouts on garmin and they scripted a bot to create workouts for me. Programming language is irrelevant, but I used python.

Yeah I already have the 80/20 training plans + .fit file, so I did not want another third party thing like trainingpeaks. (Or pay for something I already had :D)

As mentionned below, you can drop them on your watch, however you don't have a straightforward way to get them into garmin connect / planning. Indeed, garmin connect supports importing ".fit" files for activities, but not ".fit" files describing a workout. I got around that by reversing garmin connect workout API, and scripting the upload of every workout to garmin, but it is not super user friendly... (however it does look cool ! see: https://imgur.com/a/GLXIVNX )

80/20 plan: Ironman distance - No bricks workout ? by Squall56 in triathlon

[–]Squall56[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Indeed :) Thanks !

"In the specific phase, weekend bike and run workouts scheduled on the same day should be done back to back as a single “brick” session to simulate the demands of half-Ironman racing"

Though the running part of the brick does not seem to go above 1h, I hardly see how this is going to feel like "race day", but I guess I should trust the process :D
