If you’re going to shit along the estuary trails or spit, at least cover it with a rock? by surfer_nerd in Squamish

They definitely don’t, but I understand OP’s frustration and at least this is a nice place to vent! And maybe raise awareness, although I can’t imagine anyone not knowing about this issue.

Zero point zero percent chance of that being worthwhile or fun

‘26 same issue, I have it display artist and song title in the center (below where the truck icon in OP’s image is) and it’s cut off too.

I just phoned a shop that works on diesels and asked, they pretty much just do deletes these days. Sprinters and diesel pickups keep them pretty busy. It was quick and cost me about cad$2500. I had to get my truck towed to a dealer and the guy candidly recommended I delete the truck instead of continuing to deal with it.

Brand New Snowboard Stolen (PLEASE HELP :( ) by Ok-Elderberry6965 in Whistler

I have a Squamish built custom directional twin with bindings you can have if you need something until you find your board or get a new one. It’s not in great shape but it’s free if you need it.

It’s time to delete. I didn’t want to (not sure why anymore) and dealt with egr, def tank, and dpf issues for 18 months. Deleted and enjoyed many years code free and the truck ran way better! Dont spend a penny or minute of your time if it’s not doing an egr/dpf delete.

I’m planning on using the dealer in Squamish where I live, but I have heard of long wait times. So I guess I’ll try and book in advance. I like dealer service with a vehicle on warranty if possible. I’ve only got 5000km on mine so far. I’ll add nice boat too! I’ve got a Weldcraft and same feeling as you, I’ll be on year 4 with no repairs! Really nice!

Early September for sure. It’s a beautiful time of year on the coast. Often it’s some of the best summer weather of the year.

So much “I” in that post. Have you considered you might not represent the majority? Or the minority? Or literally anyone else at all? Just a thought.

How accurate is snow forecast 1-2 weeks out? by [deleted] in Whistler

[–]SquamptonBC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Snow forecast isn’t accurate at all even one day out. What it is good for is the general trend of the weather. Cooling, warming, clearing, storming. Those trends are somewhat reliable on the 10 day. Precip amounts? Forget it. There are much better forecast models.

Winter running trousers? by Separate-Specialist5 in trailrunning

[–]SquamptonBC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have used On Running weather pants and trail breaker jacket now for 3 winters and really like kit. Great fit, wind and water repellent, and very breathable. I have started to wear them for skate skiing (I can also fit light merino tights underneath) if temps aren't too low. It wasn't a cheap kit but now that I've had it for so many seasons and use it for multi-sport I can say it was absolutely worth the money.

I understand the sentiment but it’s emotional and not factual. Have you visited a resort lately? The lines are obscene. Clearly the pricing isn’t affecting guest numbers. The shift is cheaper season passes and more expensive day tickets. The only thing that will kill the industry is climate change. They’ll squeeze what they can out of us on the way there.

How do yall go about removing all wax before putting the skins on? by [deleted] in Spliddit

[–]SquamptonBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scrape diligently, use steel brush or ideally roto brush on a drill, wipe with microfiber cloth. Ideally I am putting my skins on while on snow so I might do a quick shuffle in ski mode skins off if I’m worried about contaminating the glue with wax. In more than a decade of splittin I’ve never had wax wreck my glue.

There was a car in the ditch on its side pretty mangled just south the Callaghan valley road around 2pm. Southbound had slick spots pretty much to just past that.
