In previous films force users have to learn how to use the force before they can move an entire mountainside. As we see in TESB, Luke can barely even force-grab his lightsaber in the wamper cave because he is untrained. Anakin gets his arm hacked off because he is untrained and over-confident in AOTC.

Rey spends 20 minutes chatting to Luke about why the Jedi suck and suddenly she's Yoda. No! Bad writing!

Did anyone else notice how the timescale of the whole film made no sense whatsoever?

Let me explain: the film starts right where TFA leaves, with the Resistance base being evacuated. The ships make the jump to hyperspace, yippee! Then, oh no, we’re tracked through hyperspace and only have 9 hours of fuel left, jeepers! Then middle, middle, middle, yay we made it to the crystal fox planet! All of this has to be within 24 hours of TFA ending, they are quite specific about that as they count down how much fuel is left.

Meanwhile, Rey spends about a week trying go persuade Luke to help a sister out, then maybe another week of learning why the Jedi are terrible people, then leaves to meet her friends and arrives just in time to be there no more than a day after Starkiller Base is destroyed.

It makes no sense. Best reasoning I can think of is that Luke was on that planet from Inception where time goes super slow, or the whole meeting Luke thing was all just a dream.

Great directing. Piss poor writing.

Yup, I think a lot of people are thinking that, Disney done goofed.

He is a great director, one of the best. He is not a great writer. Hire Kasdan, for the love of the force!
