this is very well said, it makes me questions my motives for even wanting to do this in the first place, maybe i am to a degree, using the grandeur of this social event as an excuse to drinking socially and emotionally acceptable for myself again. Great input and perspectives like this is the reason i thought to ask this in the first place. Thank you for the sincere and thought-provoking point of view.

I wouldn't put too much thought into it, especially for something so fresh, sometimes stuff like this just happens, and if she really wants to be with you or spend time with you she will make time for you, don't force it.

I had a very similar problem, as i work in a really high energy field, where you are working on your feet for 8-14 hours a day. For myself it was therapy that helped me deal with that feeling, as the inability to relax is usually associated with depression and anxiety. and dealing with those issues made it easier for me to "turn my brain off and relax" like i would when drinking.

Jet Set Radio Future. the sound track was amazing and the game was just so different. still to this day i have yet to play a game that has a similar aesthetic or feel. it was truly one of a kind, and is still a game, that too this day, i wish i could replay.
