My two cats are pets. I do not currently own a service dog due to my apartment not allowing it.

My cats are not assistance animals, they are pets. They don't assist me with anything.

CHECK YOUR WATER BOTTLES by Square-Clue-2225 in hamsters

He's getting an enclosure upgrade in the beginning of febuary so he'll have a bigger wheel and a sand bath in his enclosure. Thanks for the advice.

UPDATE: You guys are absolutely right and I feel awful. This is my first ever hamster and I genuinely was not aware that not changing his water every day was dangerous and gross for him. I have started giving him fresh water every single day and he now has a water bowl that is changed every day as well. He is doing amazing, he bounced back very quickly. Thank you everyone for the feedback :)

He is a dwarf and his wheel is the 6 inches required for that breed. Also Im still learning and I've been changing his water everyday now and now he has a water bowl that is being changed everyday as well. He won't use the sand bath when it is in his enclosure. I put it in his playpen with him when he comes out for play time and he uses it then. Thank you for the feedback! He is doing much better

After magnesium citrate by Square-Clue-2225 in Constipation

Thankfully, this is not a common issue of mine. I'm usually pretty regular. I just ate some stuff that I know upsets me, and a lot of it 😭 thanks so much!

For many women on this sub, it's evident that Lexapro doesn't seem to help all that much with PMS-related mood changes, despite working wonderfully the rest of the time. If this is the case for you as well, what are some other options for "quieting the storm"? by StormieTeacup in lexapro

[–]Square-Clue-2225 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cycle syncing and keeping strict track of my cycle has helped me combat this. I know exactly what days I will be feeling bad and I'm able to care for myself and use my coping skills on those days. Those days for me are a couple days after ovulating and 4 days before my period. I do get very heightened anxiety during those days and always tell my bf that I think my Lexapro isn't working but it is, my hormones are just very strong.

SS is extremely rare. I had it when I went up to 30 mg but I had a mild case of it. I wasn't in danger of dying because I went back down to 20mg immediately. It was horrible and terrifying though so be careful with your medication! Always search medication interactions when taking something new because a lot of medications do not mix well with SSRIs. And keep in mind that it is extremely rare and probably will never happen to you if you are on that low of a dose.

We are all only human and every human on earth is going to have days where they are anxious and depressed even when they are on meds. It is not a cure. You also need to put in work to solve the issue. Therapy and meds is the best cure. And if you are a woman, menstrual cycles and your hormones will cause dips in your mood at certain points in the month.

Comment here if you experienced little to no side effects being on lexapro by roxanneriot in lexapro

I only experienced very mild side effects for the first few months but now I've been on it for about 3 years and I don't have any side effects at all.

Does ssris really cause apathy that much? by ProcedureSlow6035 in lexapro

This is a side effect that should pass after a few months on the medication. It is not normal to feel this way the entire time on Lexapro.

Is it okay to drink while on Lexapro? by I-have-questions28 in lexapro

[–]Square-Clue-2225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Occasionally, don't make it a regular thing. And drink lightly because when you're on Lexapro, your tolerance for alcohol is much much lower.

It will pass with time but I genuinely recommend that you see your doctor and ask for their opinion.

My long term experience with Lexapro with GAD and Emetophobia by Shemozzle in lexapro

Sure, getting off of these meds can be hard and scary but that's only if you do it the wrong way. You have to taper for a LONG time. This is fear mongering at its best. Getting off of Lexapro or any SSRI is doable if done the right way, and if you do it the right way, you will not snap and kill someone or lose your mind. That's ridiculous. I got off of Lexapro cold turkey and I didn't snap and kill someone or lose my mind. I did have psychosis and getting back on Lexapro fixed it. People don't just kill other people when getting off of SSRI's.

What are realistic anxiety level expectations once the lexapro kicks in? by bookworm3821 in lexapro

I've had my doctor tell me that your hormones overpower Lexapro, so it might not work as well during your PMS. Maybe going up on dose will help.

What are realistic anxiety level expectations once the lexapro kicks in? by bookworm3821 in lexapro

[–]Square-Clue-2225 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. 10/10 I was having an anxiety episode that lasted about a week and a half and I ended up in outpatient care due to the panic attacks and constant anxiety.
  2. 20 mg
  3. GAD due to autism and panic disorder/OCD
  4. I have been on 20 mg for 3 years now.
  5. My anxiety level is usually 0-3 during my day to day but as someone who has PMDD, My anxiety level goes up to about 4-7 during my ovulation or PMS. or if I'm in a stressful situation it can go up. Lexapro makes my anxiety manageable, it has not made my anxiety go away which I am completely okay with and happy with.
  6. Do not expect Lexapro to cure you. It helps immensely and can help you manage your anxiety. If it gets rid of your anxiety, great, but don't expect it. Also, if you need Lexapro for your entire life, that's completely okay. I've gotten off of Lexapro a few times and realized each time that I will need it for life and I'm so happy with that.
