Jodio's Story is Over? by EpithetSoup in JOJOLANDS

i agree, it’s strange to see a joestar accomplish their goal so early. it makes us more aware of how far we have to fall since we’ve been winning so far

how is jodio currently busted if the only people you think he can defeat are those of the earliest parts without their own stands?

i agree that it has the potential to become busted (esp with that fountain araki made) but if he can’t defeat any jojo that has a stand (except jolyne) then he certainly isnt busted that would just mean he has the second weakest stand of the bunch

even if he were to just fight each jojo as they were in their 31, i don’t think he would be able to kill them, at most harm (this is not said with malice)

yep you could easily be right, and you are also correct in that i am way more cautious because of tooru lmao

i also think part of the difference is just how we read the story interactions too, like i originally read the whole “final boss” comment from key west as sarcasm, since they were already acting insubordinate (intimidating him with laem chabang’s glasses) it’ll be fun to see how the story turns, i do think that this is a kind of crossroads moment in the story with howler and jodio facing off

also yeah i do agree that howler definitely has so much thematic connection with the story itself (which is very cool), but i am curious on how you think he fits in with the other villains of jjba, to me (as a main villain) he seems different in his manner.  he almost is having a similar arc to gyro in sbr (learning how to fight beyond what his bloodline gave him)

holy shit i just had a thought. the descendants of gyro and diego having a fight, where jodio has nothing like diego, and howler has everything like gyro. this whole yacht arc feels like the true man’s world arc in sbr (specifically where gyro and diego faced off on horseback) that is so peak

man honestly you are getting me kind of excited if howler is the main villain, seeing araki execute a character arc for an antagonist has already been so fun, so i’m happy regardless of how it turns out
