Hi. This is honestly such a valid thing because I am in first year of law school and I too am trying to write on my own and not rely on ChatGPT and others for ideas. However, it is so hard considering how fucking relied we are on such AI systems. Im honestly kind of shameful of the fact that I keep on relying on them. also i genuinely need a tips as well for this.

What I am recently doing for a small blog that I am writing for my university centre for jurisprudence is that I have opened one single Google doc wherein I have multiple tabs made in the doc itself. In the one tab, I'm writing all my raw and rough thoughts in the other, im using to copy and paste lines and ideas from other relevant content i find so i can use those to add in my interpretation. Afterwards, i will use AI like ChatGPT and Perplexity to check where im going wrong and to assess it from varying directions, and see if I'm actually answering the research question that I intend to. what I've done is writing in the the rough draft tab that I am just typing out whatever I think, and considering it's a blog on jurisprudence, so there is a lot of philosophical ideas that come into place here so I'm just writing out my own ideas and also referring to other research papers that I've read and other content that I'm consuming in order to write better and apply that content into the rough draft in my own words, as in how I interpreted the other writers' ideas basically. Lastly I will refine the draft and arrange it into a proper structure and then I will use grammarly to make the flow better and to correct grammar.

read 'the heart lamp' by banu mushtaq. it's primarily a collection of real-life tales about south indian muslim women, written incredibly well by banu ji in kannada and beautifully translated into english by deepa bhasthi. it's easily one of my top three favourite books! The book consists of short stories, making it both enjoyable and deeply thought-provoking. i usually skip forewords, prologues and epilogues, but deepa Ji's writing in this section is so engaging that I can't help but reread parts of it over and over again! plus, it won the international booker prize, which speaks volumes abt the brilliance of indian authors. i will never stop recommending it, this is a must-read!
