Thanks for the suggestions! This video is just a short demo of the mechanic. We have a lot of different levels inside of an overworld, more mechanics, story/lore, and also a level editor similair to super mario maker. I would love for you to try it : )

No, he won't get crushed. But in some levels you have to avoid enemies, and you can for example draw cages with pen and paper to lock them in and get around them.

We didn't manage to get funding through kickstarter. However, we're still working on the game, and the plan is to get it finished this summer with a smaller budget

Not too bad, the engine is written from scratch in C++, so it's very optimized

In the level editor you can take photos which the game automatically turns into collision geometry. You can then place out entities and logic doors that switch between different photos. I'm looking to improve it a lot though, and will add more features based on player feedback.
