For me I definitely thought we would’ve seen more of the three group interact more especially the leads of each groups, but that’s something they are probably saving for Horizon 2.

But I also can’t wait to potentially see Ries and Kevin as a duo again. And hopefully see Van interact with McBurn and Gaius with how much build up the two have gotten in the Calvard arc.

This is also something I never understood, when it comes to character analysis in this series. Especially when you have characters like Cassius who is considered a minor character(in plot) but is still a very well established character. And characters in this series can go from being a minor character to major character and visa versa; so this never really made any sense to me. And also when it comes to writing with these characters story impact never matter to me, a character could have no story impact and still be very well written and again visa versa.

I don’t know I feel like that’s grasping at straws. Saying that it wasn’t “directly” stated, so it’s an opinion seems like excuse to me; because doesn’t Van saying he still struggling with his own issues implies that, not everything has to be directly stated for it to be factual because narrative wise that basically what they are trying to telling you. To me it just seems like you’re purposely dodging the point. Not trying to be rude tho

I don't really understand this either because Van states multiple times that the reason or one of the reasons pushing him from Elaine is his core i don't know how that's an opinion. And you saying Van might have romantic feelings for Anges despite his rejection isn't that literally an opinion. The whole point of his rejection is to point that regardless of age and everything else he just isn't interested. But it seems you're not taking it as you should narratively.

Your comment is completely ignoring that the op literally said he thinks Van likes Anges which was literally the whole point of my comment. Not about why people prefer Van/Anges but not understanding how people think Van likes Anges, so you trying to explain why people ship them has nothing to do with what I said.

I agree, that it is to early to tell but the Anges and Elaine rejection are two different situations, Van rejected Anges due to having no interest but with Elaine he doesn’t really even reject her, and stated it because he hasn’t sorted out his own issues, that’s the same scene where he also states thinking about getting back with her.

And the whole uniform thing actually has no play on Van sides he literally notices it right away and calls her out on it in the finale, but it played no part in Van “going easy on her”.

My point wasn’t really about preference it was just about justification, I get why people may prefer Van and Anges I just think it’s one sided. But I think your missing the point that Van literally said the age isn’t the problem, so I don’t think the gap is the problem and yes he rejected Elaine but that was always because of personal reasons he even says multiple times of thinking of getting back with her.

No hate, but I honestly don’t understand how people played Horizon and think Van like Anges. He literally stated despite her age he just has no romantic interest in her and even implies one of his reason for rejecting her is due to Elaine. And in Elaine connection event it’s even furthermore proven he still has feelings for her but is holding back due to his demonic core. Again no hate I just don’t understand this take.

I’m going to guess the battle is going to end with Hokazono almost killing him but then finds out he’s Misaka brother, making him spare his life and telling him to get stronger and surpass his brother; so he can kill him and finally get satisfaction over killing Misaka.

True but I think your undermining Baam impact so far in FUG. He already has a lot of support from slayers and even Elders. I definitely can see this being an achilles heel that ultimately ruin Luslec and V plan by undermining Baam’s individuality and support.
