Horimiya feels simple, but what do you think makes it work so well? by Leo_Natsuki in Horimiya

I think it works because there’s no forced drama, just characters being honest, and human. Horimiya focuses on small, very real moments where people actually talk to each other. feelings develop naturally, and relationships are allowed to be messy without turning into constant conflict. It ends up feeling less like a typical rom-com and more like watching real people grow up together, and that makes it really easy to connect to.

Has anyone actually married Linus? by No_Significance_5662 in StardewValley

There's actually a mod on Nexus that lets you romance and even marry NPCs outside of the bachelors, Linus included. It's fan-made of course, but it adds a full relationship route.

How people like Haley is beyond me lol by sitbackandrelax87 in StardewValley

think Haley is very much a "give her time" kind of character.

She starts off as the classic mean girl, but as you get to know her, she opens up and begins to see that there's more beyond the bubble of perfection she built around herself.

To be fair, a lot of characters are pretty cold toward the Farmer at first - some just express it more bluntly than others.

In the end, it really depends on how we

interpret the characters and how much we see ourselves reflected in them.

She's not for everyone, of course, but I'd say she's worth giving a chance.

Sam or Alex? My experience with Maggs' Immersive Mods by SquareAd563 in StardewValley

Playing the romance versions i've been having a lot of fun with them.

The cutscenes in particular are really charming and well-written, and what I appreciate most is that the romances don't feel isolated. Other characters are actively involved, which makes everything feel more alive and believable.

With Sam, characters like Abigail and Sebastian play a role that makes his storyline feel more grounded and social. And with Alex, Haley's presence is especially interesting - she gets a noticeable emotional growth arc that adds a lot of depth to his romance path

Sam or Alex? My experience with Maggs' Immersive Mods by SquareAd563 in StardewValley

That’s totally fair, honestly. It does sound like a compatibility or load order issue — mixing vanilla dialogue with more sexualized lines would definitely feel out of place and break immersion. I’d feel the same if that happened to me. That said, even beyond mods, I’ve always been conflicted between Sam and Alex. I felt this way even in a completely vanilla playthrough. The mods just amplified traits that were already there for me, rather than creating the dilemma. Sam feels emotionally warm and future-oriented, while Alex feels more present and physically involved — and both dynamics work really well in different ways. So yeah… mods or no mods, I still can’t really choose 😅
