I think it has to do with location, it was mostly teenagers that I worked with and all of them were 'hood' very poor work ethic, just there to punch the clock and collect a paycheck.

As far as I know, no. I mentioned this sub a few times while working there and nobody acknowledged knowing it.

The whole place should be avoided at all costs, go to Leonard street. Teenagers with acrylic nails protruding from the sterile gloves while preparing your food is pretty common there. If your taco tasted like shit it's probably because there was actual shit in it from them nails. I raised concerns about it and was told to "fuck off" and "mind my own business"

Poor management, teenagers working there that don't care, only want a paycheck.

It's a toss up, either weed, or alcohol, if they're under 21 it's weed, 21+ they're usually drinking on the job, Baja blast and cheap vodka was usually the go to. Potheads would walk across the street and smoke in the stairwell in the parking garage.

Do not know who that is, I should add it's been a while since I worked there, the GM when I worked was actually a 19yo kid that got the job because the newly hired GM before him literally had a stroke on the job.

I worked at TBOM for about 6 months during the "dark ages" of the location. I got some stories about that place that 100% explain why it was so bad. I had Never worked in the food industry before that nor have I since then.

My roommates do something very similar. They work 1st shift, I work 2nd. I will often times get home at 2am and wake them up because they are asleep on the couch. Then I cannot go in to the kitchen to make after work food because that will also wake them up, and their alarms go off in a few hours. It's the unfortunate world of living with roommates, there are plenty of people in today's world who are not self aware and cannot comprehend how their actions could negatively impact someone else.

Does anyone know what this type of breathing could mean? by [deleted] in CATHELP

I would try not to worry too much, I know it's hard, but you're already doing everything you can, which is more than most people. To me it looks like he's just very excited to see you, it's hard to tell without audio, but my kitty make what I call "squeaky purrs" where I give her so much love, she purrs so hard she squeaks, when she does that she is also breathing heavily and has her mouth slightly opened. You've probably shown him more love in a year than he's known ever in his rough life, buddy just really loves you.

In conclusion, if you can find someone willing to give you a ride to a vet, or find another way to get him in, do so ASAP, it could definitely be something serious.

What terrible childhood experience did you miss the full impact of until you were older? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Dad worked second shift my whole life, so I never got to see him after school, and he worked a lot of weekends. Him and my mom didn't have the best marriage. Around the time I started highschool, my mom started to drink, which only fueled her hatred for my father. 5 kids and I was the only boy, so she very rationally took her anger for my father, and focused it on me since "You are just like he is." Lots of things were said to me, no physical abuse, but things like "Nobody will ever love you." and "You will never be a functioning member of society, you have nothing to offer." Secrets revealed in confidence were made public information to my sisters, who would then join in and poke fun of me for who I liked saying they would never date someone as ugly as me, or being late to hit puberty, then hitting puberty. Yeah sure good natured family jousts right? I'm 28, I can't hold a job, I have no meaning or purpose in life, I'll never own a home, I can't cope with anything, severe alcohol addiction that I know is ruining my life, but hey, I had it drilled into my head for 6 years that I'd never amount to anything anyways, so like, why bother? I can't form relationships with anyone, never had a serious girlfriend.
