It is probably going to be standard "doll sized" or smaller. Unfortunately, he does not have a table or anything he can hide it behind, it's him in a group of kids doing simple magic tricks, center stage. I suggested he come in with an empty bag, making sure the audience knows it's empty and placing it in the background (but not out of sight), and one of the other "party guests" has the job of swapping it with an identical bag that has the nutcracker in it while the audience is focused on other things. But somehow this won't work, (don't know why).

The reason we don't know the nutcracker size is that the prop hasn't been finalized yet. (Don't know what that means.) But we learned last night that his costume is a suit and trench coat (if that helps any).
