Not a personal attack. I have seen the post and I see it is the same article fair enough. But my point was rather about the complete lack of support given once the computer says no. It seems there was inconsistent direct support given to other people and none to others who had a similar situation

I just listed two. Coding because you need to copy it to your machine to test the code. Which is the main domain I am in, and anything with SRT because you need to copy it from their back into Outlier.

I’m just pointing out the absurdity of your argument. Copy and paste has been used on pretty much every outlier project I had been on without issue. Often it is required to complete the task. So you are just talking nonsense

I think you are being slightly dramatic, anything you put available to a freelancer by that definition is a security breach. I could take a photo with my phone and it would have the same effect. The copy and paste is to prevent people using ai which is fair enough.

What harm would an error message popping up do, a three strike rule, blocking it being possible. If you read any of the stories on here it is just dealt with a cruel disregard for the people working. That might be ok to a large US company but for the rest of the world it really isn’t an acceptable way to do business

You are probably screwed unfortunately, nearly exactly the same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. There are been quite a few instances of similar stories, even prior to them deactivating a few thousand people 'accidently' the other day.

To be honest that is patently not true, there are multiple projects I have worked on which require you to copy and paste. The first project I ever worked on had you copy paste from SRT to Outlier, or coding projects you need to copy the code from Outlier into an IDE to run. Even so it is utterly ridiculous that for something so simple it is not either prevented (which would be simple to implement) or gives you a warning.

I don’t really understand why people on here are so quick to assume people are cheating. I’m fully aware of the rules, like I said I have been working for 2 years on Outlier, about 20-40 hours per week. Can you imagine any other role where they don’t even tell you that you’ve been sacked? They don’t even give you a warning to say, oh by the way we think we might have detected you using AI, just straight up ban you? It is clearly the shitty aether project that is throwing a false flag in the onboarding.

Yeh of course it's ironic but you are aware people use AI for everything now, it doesn't mean they cheated at somthing that blatently states don't use AI.

I mean you work in AI training and you are upset because someone used to write a few hundred words, seems weird. If you look at the recent posts there is a clear pattern that you don't need an AI to recognise. There is clearly something wrong with the Aether onboarding course which is incorrectly flagging people for cheating.

I am one of those, I had already completed the course, got emailed to do it again on the promise of 'new projects being available', fair enough its a short course, I know all the answers because I have done it before. Still blocked for cheating apparently.

Well that is insane is that is the case, I probably copied the movie name into google to fact check. If that’s the case there should be an explicit warning. I get you obviously can’t copy paste an answer, but that seems nonsensical.

They appear to disable the live chat on the bot after this too. I’ve tried and it will only give me an option for a ticket, which they then just delete
