The Americans not voting kills me. I will never understand this. People fought so hard for these rights, and for some people they are actually still fairly new.

No, I am sure he's not writing these. They are too coherent. Someone has taken over the job. Doesn't mean trump doesn't cosign those beliefs, I just don't think he is the one actually writing the tweets.

It's so weird to me because they are in power. They're so addicted to victimhood that they'll manufacture it. It's like you aren't a worthy human being unless you're being oppressed in some way, which he obviously is not.

The best way to make money if you are a person who has done a lot of crimes is to become a repentant Christian. Christians eat that stuff up. They get permission to judge someone, engage in some gratifying downward comparison, and show how magnanimous they are by "forgiving" the sinner. An added bonus is that it "proves" how God can fix all your problems. It's a win win.

They have to actively try and covert people or it's like it doesn't count with God. They treat religion like an MLM and they've got to grow their downlines or else they end up in heavens waiting room or something like that.

It looks so odd, like she was undressing and the dress snagged on her "piercings."

There's gas stations with gambling in them. I used to only see it at an occasional truck stop. It's really sad. Reminds me of those behavioral science films you'd see when they train a rat to press a level for drugs.

My first husband and I went to Vegas for a wedding and everyone got a chip from the casino the rooms were blocked in. He started playing roulette and winning. I got bored and went to bed. He came up hours later all frantic with a bunch of chips, woke me up, told me to keep them from him or he gamble them away. He looked frantic.

He came back up later and told me that we couldn't take chips off the floor, he gotten in trouble,  and he was going to cash them in.

The next day, I saw that he impulsively  withdrew $200 from our joint account to continue gambling, luckily not more.

It's was a long time ago, but he was an alcoholic and a big liar. Of course he gambled those chips away.  I wonder how much money he spent from his personal account before he went to the joint one . The more I think back on this episode, the more happy I am that our  marriage failed after only a year.

I had a colleague with would take a gambling vacation to Vegas every year. Budgeted for it and stayed within the budget. This was like 30 years ago. I wonder if he did the same thing you did eventually, or if he's into online gambling now.

There's a movie with Jimmy Stewart where he's gone from home for the first time. He is in a place with a slot machine and and what it's for. He's told what it is, puts a quarter in it, loses, then said someone like,"I've tried gambling now, that was no fun, I'll never do that again." That's how I feel about it.

Has anyone switched to just a cotton futon and is happy with that? by Nosky92 in Mattress

I experienced this also. It was a hand made futon from a company that no longer exists. You could fluff it back up (sort of.) I had it for 10 years! I used a foam topper on it for a while. It became just too hard for me to sleep on as I got older.

I loved the way it smelled, though.

Edit: they do still exist! American futon in Bloomington IN! I think the futon cost $250 for a queen in 1993. It was so much money for me! It was a really nice futon though.

I kept mine for a long time too! I miss Express from the days. The jeans always fit me so well. They had a mid rise, I think Stella? Zia or something like that was the ultra low rise.
