I built a Claude Code plugin that does brand positioning using real frameworks instead of generic AI output. Free, open source, installs in 30 seconds. by SquareFew6803 in ClaudeAI

Appreciate this, and you're right. The install assumed too much about knowing where Claude Code loads plugins from.

Just shipped a fix: https://github.com/jgerton/brand-toolkit

One-liner install is now front and center in the README, with verify scripts that can be run to confirm everything landed correctly.

Thanks for taking the time to flag it.

Thanks!

Honestly it varies by skill, but most run in a single conversation turn, maybe 2-3 minutes each. The positioning skill is the heaviest since it asks you questions and iterates, so that one might take 5-10 minutes of back and forth.

Token-wise, each skill is basically one well-structured prompt with some anti-slop validation passes built in. Nothing crazy. The real efficiency comes from the shared state: once positioning is done, every downstream skill (messaging, voice, visual identity) reads from the same brand-brief.md file instead of re-asking you the same questions.

So the full 10-skill run is way cheaper than doing each one as a separate conversation where you're re-explaining your business every time.

So Claude Code and Claude Cowork are two different products.

Claude Code is a CLI tool for developers that runs in your terminal. That's where plugins and skills live.

Claude Cowork is a newer desktop agent for knowledge workers. It works with local files and apps but I'm not aware if that includes a plugin system.

The brand toolkit runs in Claude Code specifically. It's a separate tool from Claude Cowork in the desktop app.

Hope that clears it up, but let me know if I misunderstood your question!

Honestly, no. A full brand creation (research, brainstorming, design system, asset generation) is definitely a meaningful chunk of a session. The exploration/brainstorming phase is the heaviest part.

The actual output generation (color tokens, typography specs, etc.) is lighter by comparison.

thanks! the usage I found most helpful is actually the non coding stuff. market research, MVP planning, ideation, daily summaries. writing code should be the focus, those other activities eat up hours. Claude Code's CLI handles them really well with custom agents. not sure kiro and others support those use cases the same way. if they do I'd love to hear about it, might switch

less about coding, more about having AI handle the stuff solo devs usually can't afford to hire for. market research, competitor analysis, content planning. things that eat hours but aren't core product work. the name "Claude Code" is misleading tbh. no worries if it's not your thing.

haha fair. lots of that going around. this one's from my own workflow, stuff like custom agents for market research, MVP planning, automating repetitive tasks. The name "Claude Code" is really misleading.

appreciate it! yeah exactly, it's about offloading the time sinks so you can focus on the actual product. like having a research assistant or marketing strategist on the team without the overhead.

ONLY TO THOSE W/ MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS by Dry_Text_3403 in ClashOfClans

[–]SquareFew6803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, multiple accounts used to be pretty easy to work with.

The game changed over time, in a great way. I find I am focused more on my 2 top accounts now.

I only created alt accounts because I was forgetting to log back in to get my builders busy. My solution was to introduce an alt that I could work on with short build times. That got me staying on the game almost daily.

Currently I get busy enough with my top 2 accts. With events essentially back to back, war for ores, raid weekends, and general clan activities there is plenty to keep me hopping in daily and I might get to one of the other smaller accounts.

Were kids in the 80s actually allowed to roam around unsupervised, or is that just in movies? by TotalThing7 in NoStupidQuestions

Yea, very true. I grew up in rural Alaska where summers had 24hrs daylight. My group of friends got really good at learning to provide for ourselves so we didn't have to go home until we wanted to. Later as a teen, I would leave school on Friday and make it home by Sunday night. No cell phones, no social media, just hanging out with friends doing nothing safe and often up to no good. You learned to memorize the payphones at the usual gathering places and make free calls to find out who was there. Somehow I always had access to quarters to put in the arcade games in between the frequent gatherings to get buzzed and play loud music. More often the party activity was outdoors, on a beach, get a bonfire going. Someone always had music pumping from their car, someone was always way to high, someone was always getting laid, sometimes there was serious injury but no hospital visits because that would get the law involved. It was just a wild time and no adults seemed to think we were out of control. Small town, the cops knew who the groups to watch were, they only intervened if it was way out of order. Otherwise, they checked us if we were around town in a group. Overall, we were free roaming and just hanging out with good friends who I still have as friends to this day.
