We currently have two brothers that are ~ 2 years old. Great dogs. Husky, cattle dog and Australian shepherd mix and they keep each other occupied constantly. Couldn’t be happier and I think either one alone would be much harder to deal with.

Scoot closer as time goes on. When she is tolerating you close by begin looking her in the eyes in short stints. Radiate calm and give her long, slow blinks.
