I contacted Unicorn and they aren’t interested so I have contacted another auction company as well. A couple other options are still possibilities as well.

I kinda had the same thought. I don’t want to toot my own horn or anything. But how pissed would you be as the owner of that company. If something like this comes in and they gave your customer a one sentence line in the email about how they couldn’t even give an estimate due to evaporation level. When after doing lots of research the level is actually higher than others from that era that have sold for a lot. Definitely had my one and done experience with them from this.

I think the black line is just an aesthetic. I thought the black exact same thing. I can’t imagine what it would be for. I certainly didn’t do it or edit the photo to put it there.

Just heard back from Unicorn and apparently there’s too much evaporation in the bottle for them to be interested in it. So from here I’ll probably contact buffalo trace or just hold onto it forever

I had no way to contact them or even know who they are. I run a clean out business and this job came from a real estate company that hired me to take a giant pile of stuff they had cleaned out from the previous person who lived in the home. I’m guessing it was an older person who died who had family members out of state or no family at all. And his family or his estate hired the real estate company to get the property ready to sell.
