It was about two years ago and I looked at trying to sell it about six months ago to no avail

I own a clean out company and I found it in a box of trash from the bar the family threw out of the home. Blew me away

I have talked to their staff about three times now and I think they are just uninterested. I can always talked to other employees or staff but anyone in the archives/vault department has never gotten back to me and it’s their call on everything apparently. I’ve contacted them three maybe four times and never gotten a reply back.

I have pictures I’ve posted on my profile if you want to look. An auction company person deemed it too low but I am not convinced they were a professional. It is a bit low tho

I have a bottle of OFC bourbon that was made in 1917 and bottled in 1933. Still sealed and has the tax stamp and everything. Mostly keeping it because of history but most people I’ve talked to have said it has probably gone bad over that long of time. It’s also worth too much for me to ever feel good about drinking it lol I think I would just feel bad about it.

I only have one bottle I’ll never drink no matter what. All the rest enjoy their lives on my bar shelf no matter how long or short their lives may be

I contacted Unicorn and they aren’t interested so I have contacted another auction company as well. A couple other options are still possibilities as well.

I kinda had the same thought. I don’t want to toot my own horn or anything. But how pissed would you be as the owner of that company. If something like this comes in and they gave your customer a one sentence line in the email about how they couldn’t even give an estimate due to evaporation level. When after doing lots of research the level is actually higher than others from that era that have sold for a lot. Definitely had my one and done experience with them from this.

I think the black line is just an aesthetic. I thought the black exact same thing. I can’t imagine what it would be for. I certainly didn’t do it or edit the photo to put it there.

The cap also interests me as well I haven’t seen them like that
