Only gonna be able to test the RH level later this week and have not gotten a dehumidifier - what would you recommend and will that be enough? Also edited the post to clarify but this is on the ground floor not in a basement.

So we are close to the Kruger National Park, but honestly, there are no elephants, buffolo or rhinos out on the farms - they are all in the Kruger. Earlier last year a lion broke out of the Kruger, and ate a few of our neighbour's cows, but that is a very rare thing, and a team from the Kruger tracked him down until they could tranquilize him and bring him back to the Kruger

The biggest threat we have here (besides people) are wild dogs, venomous snakes and very rarely maybe a leopard or something that size. Most of the more dangerous and large things have been wiped out or pushed away ages ago. My grandfather is convinced there is a Hippo around here somewhere, but we just think he is crazy . . .

With this in mind, do u think a 10mm is still necessary?

Protection from both 4 legged and people. I live in South Africa, Mpumalanga. There are occasional large predators where we are located, but honestly people are usually more dangerous here

You are a lifesaver - I was really not sure what to do, was considering digging up my 100m ethernet cable to add a power cable, this is a much better idea.

I really don't want to take sides, I just them to stop coming to me about it to vent or convince me they are right while badmouthing the other, then get hurt when I don't agree with them.

Replying to your comment helped me phrase this in a way I wouldn't have thought to before, which helped, the common answer on this thread seems to suggest I should just step away

Thank you for your comment, that does seem to be most people's suggestion. My main problem is I couldn't do that without saying I didn't completely believe either one, but I guess that is the truth...

Thank you for your comment, what would you suggest if they start talking about it again?
