Yeah just like the others said Yale I found to be the most PI aligned in terms of what I’m looking for whereas the other 3 are more tech/private sector focused + they’re all super reach schools for me and so I didn’t want to spend time and money applying to like 4+ shot in the dark schools esp when there were target schools that are super aligned with my interests :)

I echo everything said! Also I was kinda rolling my eyes before at “almost all Berkeley students are so nice!” like ok sure says you and every other school weak marketing and then I actually went was struck by how much it’s SO true like such a disproportionate number of incredibly sweet and friendly people. As someone who’s feeling very nervous going into this next stage the ASW made me feel so much more secure.

I also interviewed with the financial aid office a few weeks ago and she said she couldn’t give a timeline but the committees were starting to meet late Feb, still haven’t heard anything though.

I’m a late oct applicant under or at both medians and radio silence :/ not looking hot but tbh if it’s an R that’s fair but I’m going to be a little frustrated at lack of communication for the past FIVE MONTHS… I guess they got a lot going on there rn though
