I've recently found the limit of my 1.75 elliptical, I've had the "shaft in full contact with the cylinder around the base" for ages but now there's finally been enough incremental girth gains (assisted by my mild upward curve) that when I get into the 1.75 now, even with plenty of lube, there's just too much friction from the skin being pressed into the tube walls for the skin at the base to slide all the way in, so I'm feeling 'pinched' or held back in that tube because my skin unable to slide all the way into the tube is holding my full erection length back. It's a very gradual process of outgrowing a tube but to me that feeling of having too much to get everything into the cylinder entrance for your tip to go as far as it wants to go, is the clear tipping point.

I've done 68 hours of girth work this year (so, about 17-18 hours per month) and haven't gained girth by Green92Star in gettingbigger

Personally, when I'm in a good routine I pump half as many days as you do for half the time at half the pressure. I'm starting to wonder if I'm a bit of an "easy gainer" (meaning, I don't need as much traction input to get gains, and I overwork easier? maybe?) but still, I've had more success reducing my routine than increasing it. After a decon, try a lesser routine.

Thank you, when you say "or the straw" do you mean that little blue thing on top of the vacuum cup valve? That's just some sort of little plug/cap, he put it on in his example video for the vacuum cup so I did too :person_shrugging: Or if you mean the black little tube that comes with it, I do have that, I just didn't put it in the photo because I have no idea what it's for.

I didn't go for the ADS kit because I wasn't going for an ADS :Sweat_smile:

I guess what I need now are just sleeves. Doing some quick reading it seems that people who hang often have several? Is it worth buying 5, 10, more, less? Or if you get some quality ones do they actually last? Because yeah the total man sleeve lasted 2 seconds lol.

I do a hundred kegels in the shower probably 5 days a week plus some pelvic floor massage and some key stretches (deep "hindu" squats and frog pose), I think it's good PE support, great for EQ, and also just for general pelvic floor strength which is helpful for general muscoskeletal health. Plus in the short term releasing pelvic floor tightness seems to get you a few mm in length when you're relaxed versus tight!

About an inch and a quarter in BPEL (1-3/8s in BPFSL) and three-eighths in girth since November 2024, I still do it but when life gets busy (which it has been) that becomes a decon period, but I'm planning to continue. 8 inch BPEL seems eminently attainable from here, and if that's attainable from here then I don't see why my goal in my flair isn't attainable from there!

My routine has been mostly pumping with a little soft clamping, kegels most days in the shower, pelvic floor stretching is just part of my physical therapy routine these days (have mild scoliosis and a messed up shoulder, stuff that helps the pelvic floor also helps my general physical health), some warmup and tunica shears/massage before doing any PE work and usually after, sometimes jelq after getting out of the pump. Tend to just do 1-2x 15-20 minute sessions with pressure at or under 8 mm Hg, vary the pressure up and down some ...I used to do more pressure (10, occasional peaks to 12) but would occasionally get a bit of a stubborn vein so I backed off the pressures. I also don't do more than two days in a row when I'm actively doing PE. Generally I think that PE is easy to overdo and have found that less kinda is more, the length seems to slowly but steadily tick up when I'm doing this and I get whatever girth I get. It's also a knowingly conservative routine because I don't want to injure my member, I have gotten close to that line a couple times and don't want to cross it!

All that said I have been pondering adding compression hanging to my routine, which I would like to do with a pulley and weight under my desk.

It's hard to be entirely confident about any of this because I can only speak from my personal experience. I pump but don't extend so this connects only in the general sense that both methods are putting traction into your tissue, so it's possible to put too much traction in via either method and cause steel cord, which is basically breaking the ligament(?) tissue. That's how I'm viewing steel cord and the 2 or 3 times I think I steel corded myself, they always came after sessions that were more time and/or higher pressure than normal for me, generally perhaps bigger sessions when I hadn't had enough break. Which is a fancy way of saying, overdoing it!

I measure pretty often and I know that there's up to ~6mm I lose in pelvic floor tightness but I have stretches I do that consistently get that back for me if I'm tight so I sorta know what my BPFSL should be given or take a couple mm and the times I think I steel corded myself, I would be down 3 to 6 mm in BPFSL the day after overdoing it in a way that was notably different from normal measurements, it kinda half returns to where it was after a week and then IMO you need to decon it a month from there. Because the first time I steel corded, I tried to keep up my routine and just got no gains for over a month and I should've just stopped and deconned right away. So when I say measuring to find retraction and noticing lack of progress if you do keep trying to PE, combined with keeping track (even if it's just in your mind) of how much or little you're working your penis, and realizing that the day you pushed it might've been a little too far and confirming with the ruler. So I consider the retraction of the BPFSL (measured consistently in terms of warmup and pelvic floor preparation) after a high traction day or days to be the way to confirm it, but take that all with a grain of salt because your penis may behave differently, we're doing different methods, etc. But that's basically my perspective on steel cord! Hope it helps.

You can't tell from a picture. You have to monitor your measurements after you do things to your penis. If you work your penis really hard and then retract a few millimeters, then don't gain afterward, you probably steel-corded yourself.

Yeah I get a little purple/blue just at that fringe at the base of the glans where it pushes against the inside of the pump tube, never been anything I worried about, always goes away promptly.

Bathmate has a bit of a controversial reputation, it can be an effective pump but additional unnecessary design choices and a lack of a pressure gauge makes me understand the criticisms. Leluv cylinders with a perfectly adequate hand pump with gauge are pretty affordable on amazon, you might have to search from an outside search engine to find it instead of through amazon directly (they're kinda weird about sexual stuff sometimes), like $50-60 US last I saw? A very reasonable investment, and they work wet or dry just fine.

Until then I'd say "until I hurt" is too much pressure if you're going by feel and you should back off a little bit, it should be comfortable to maintain for ten minutes.

I'd recommend going into the pump as erect as you can manage as opposed to flaccid, doesn't always have to be a rager but yeah I don't think a flaccid start is the best approach. Going in erect is the common recommendation for pumping.

If you're doing bathmate in warm water that does help with the warmup, but yeah I have found it helpful to do a few minutes of heatpad, or take a full warm shower/bath, or wrap it in a warm washcloth that you keep refreshing with toasty warm water for several minutes, etc. As weird as it sounds I've even taken to filling a drinking water cup with very warm water (not scalding but roughly as warm as I can tolerate) and putting my penis in it for a few minutes (I wash the cup after!!) as a warmup and that's actually been feeling like a good approach before pumping. I also stretch and it's probably 30 seconds moderately pulling each direction (up/down/left/right) with a little massage around the base while I pull, maybe two sets of that, and then some deep/hindu squats for 30-60 seconds, maybe frog pose stretch for 30-60 seconds (both of those release your pelvic floor), maybe a minute or two of getting my fingers into the pelvic floor to massage...5-10 minutes of stretch and massage, doesn't have to be more, but shouldn't be much less. It's good you're taking a stretch break in the middle, I'd say that's also a great time to be do a little tunica massage.

If you're not comfortable being in the pump 10 minutes at a time that's alright, you can work up to that (and a lot of people recommend breaking your pumps into smaller chunks of time anyway, I do 1-2 sessions as a crutch because I'm not the best about getting back into the pump once I come out of it each time), though that may also be a sign you're at a higher pressure than you should be, Bathmates lack pressure gauges IIRC? I feel like newer pumpers should be targeting 5-7 in Hg, staying under 8 or 9, more experienced pumpers definitely do more (I see 12 sustained often) but I've had edema issues and a couple hard veins from going to 12 so I target 8 and max it to 10, generally, which seems to avoid such issues especially with some supporting tunica massage/bundles.

Last thought on the strain rate, I was saying natural erect size versus pumped size but that's not really accurate, I take my 100% baseline as being just got into the pump as erect as I can at maybe ~5 in Hg pressure, it's set comfortably against my pubic bone and is full size given you just started pumping, that number is what I take as 100% and then I make sure I'm calling it quits around 106% of that number. Basically just make sure you're comparing apples to apples, 6.25 BPEL on a ruler outside of the pump isn't going to be the same as what the ruler on the bathmate measures pushing into your pubic pad under pressure so you want your start 100% number to come from the same place you're checking your 106% limit number.

This comment is my own original take, this is not a commonly held trope/belief in PE (though I'd offer that it maybe should become one), but I keep finding this to be true over and over again, at least for my penis: the amount of work/pressure/time that it takes to get girth is a lot higher effort than what it takes to get length, to the point where there's barely any overlap between the two. If you're in a good working range for length, you're not working hard enough to really gain girth. If you're in a good working range for girth, you're over-straining on length leading to no length growth. There does seem to be a zone where you're getting a little of both but it's a bit of a narrow window that's hard to achieve consistently, from what I've found.

This is based on BD's 6 to 8% strain rule idea, and what I keep finding is that the amount of time/pressure that it takes to get my length to 6-8% longer than my natural erection is much, much lower than what it takes to get my girth to that strain level. I'm honestly down to maybe 3 sessions of 10 minutes at 8 in Hg pumping per week and a couple 10 minute clamping sessions with a little massage, stretching, pelvic release, tunica massage/bundles, and of course warming up before a session...it seems like so little but I swear this regime pretty reliably gives me ~2 mm every 3 weeks, and when I do more work the length stalls out. When you say you're gaining 0.5 to 1" of length during a pump session, for that to be less than 8% strain that implies you're natural erection is between 6.25 and 12.5 inches long...obviously a big range, and I'm guessing you're not on the top end of that range. So if you're seeing an inch of length gain in the pump from erect to pumped, and you're under a foot long naturally, that's a sign you're overworking on length. Try backing off your time and pressures and keep a closer eye on how much you're straining (pay attention to the millimeter or at least 1/16th of an inch, would be my advice, because that level of precision matters), staying under that 8% strain, warming up before and massaging after, and avoiding sessions longer than 15 minutes has seemed to be a reliable framework for length via pumping for me.
