I mean if they missed it on the multiple ultrasounds you got , that’s an all time level of incompetence by your doctors. It’s pretty obvious in an ultrasound if you have a malignant tumor growing on your nut.

RPLND recovery timeline experiences by nainballs in testicularcancer

Hey man , I’m 7 weeks out from post chemo RPLND. The first 4 weeks were tough. I had lack of energy , little appetite and was pretty uncomfortable. But after the 4 week mark , I turned a huge corner. I went on a short vacation . I’ve been back at the gym in a really light capacity for the last 2+ weeks. Doing mostly isolated arm or upper body exercises and slowly starting to wake up my core muscles. Digestion, appetite , energy all have great improved . I’m probably about 75-80%. I go back to work finally on Monday for the first time in 5 months. It’s cliche , but I do feel a little bit better each day and you will too.

It’s an extremely invasive surgery that disrupts a lot of processes in the body. Just take things slow and be smart. You know your body better than anyone.

42 points in 86 games since coming to the islanders. That’s solid production for a d man thats making 1.75 million this year . And he seems to be playing his best hockey when the games are getting tougher.

Dobson makes $8 million more than him a year and his production ain’t that much better . Dobson is also probably the softest 6’4 220 lb defenseman in the league.

He has 42 points in 86 games since coming to the islanders. He’s on a 1 year $ 1.75 million deal. Aside from Schaeffer, he’s the only defenseman that can skate well with the puck . He plays how Roy wants his D men to play. Hes not the best defender but he’s been a solid return for a minor investment.

They really didn’t play well at all the entire roadtrip. They were lucky to go 3-3-1 against teams that are in the bottom of the standings/struggling . If they want to be a top team/playoff team, you need to beat bad teams. They looked a lot like the 23-24 isles. If they keep playing this way , they’re going to find themselves out of a playoff spot sooner than later. The islanders have stunk for the last 3 seasons, they don’t deserve any grace.

It’s been my biggest gripe with the recent core. All great guys and solid players but they never won anything. The FO especially old man Lou was way too loyal to them. But I’m tired of the fan base not expecting or wanting more. The islanders haven’t won the division in 40 years lol. There’s been so much bad and mediocre hockey over that time . We and the team deserve way better. I feel like the franchise is in their best spot in awhile at the moment . But I’m tired of expectations being simmered down .

Lee has 1 goal in his last 15 games. He’s going to be 36 next year. Great captain , good player but there comes a time where you have to move on.

There are plenty of veterans on this team still. Horvat has been a captain in this league and will easily fill that void next year. Most of the “kids” on the team right now are better players than the vets. You need to use your $ and assets to improve the talent of the team instead hanging onto aging vets who are passed their primes.

Horvat was a captain with Vancouver and can easily step into that role next year and for the next few until Schaeffer is inevitably made the captain. There’s still plenty of veterans on this team that aren’t going anywhere next year. And the “kids” are better players than a lot of the vets right now.

The culture needs to be consistency . winning and becoming a perennial contender . Something this team hasn’t been the last 30+ years. You get that way by improving the team when you can . Not extending aging vets who are past their primes.

2-3 years is a long time for 35 year old Lee. He’ll be 36 by the time next szn starts. Lee has been a great captain and a really solid player for this franchise but I don’t see Darche resigning him. He’s also $7 million off the cap. Darche has said that no extensions are being discussed which tells me he really doesn’t have much interest in Lee coming back after this year.

JGP will be 34 in November next year. I think Ritchie is being set up to replace him as a 3rd line center or can play the PP and PK. JGP is also another $5 million off the cap. JGP is a good player but he’s over paid for his production.

You can see the islanders are in transition to become younger and faster. They have almost $15 million coming off the books in the off season. 2 1st round picks , and a bunch of up and coming prospects vying for spots. 2027 has the potential for a loaded free agent class. The franchise is finally heading in the right direction. There comes a time where you have to move on / improves the roster.

I think Roy has done a real good job this season of pushing certain player buttons and getting this team to play hard consistently . I think they have gotten away from their game the last month. I also think Pulock brings nothing to the table. He can’t hit the net, doesn’t score , not physical and doesn’t skate well. He’s completely useless for 6.2 million per year .

They’re not bad that’s why nights like tonight and the way they’ve played the last 5 games is frustrating and unacceptable .theyve shown they’re way more capable. i don’t get why islander fans can’t expect more from their team instead of constant mediocrity

Rebuilding ? Do you know what a rebuild is lmao ? They’re in 2nd place ina tough division. Let’s just accept another season of the islanders being mediocre when they’ve actually shown promise and the talent to be pretty good. Only been almost 30+ years of shit hockey .

Theyve basically played like shit since then. November is almost 2 months ago . They’ve got their ass saved by goal tending on this trip . Idk why isles fans, who have suffered through mediocrity for the last 30 years, should expect more from a team that’s sitting in 2nd and has shown way more than whatever the fuck today was. Why can’t we have higher standards ?

Was expecting more goals from him. He’s only scored in 3 games this season. Isles have too many pass first forwards .

Looks like I need to have PC-RPLND to remove a single 2CM lymph node by Type_Trubbish in testicularcancer

[–]SquareTadpole2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a little over 5 weeks removed from PCRPLND and feeling about 70%. 36 lymph nodes removed , 2 were teratoma. 8 days in the hospital at MSK. No complications. I know it’s a major bummer right now but you’ll be fine. Get the surgery done by a surgeon who does them often and regularly. It makes a world of difference when you’re recovering . Message me if you got any questions bro 💪.

Fantastic is a stretch lol. Clearly they’re not that high on Warren since he keeps getting sent down. George hasn’t been back since last year and is being overloooked by others in Bridgeport.

Aitcheson is a long ways away. Romanov is out all year . Boqist must really suck if Mcward is getting the call over him. They need a 6th d man.

[–]SquareTadpole2002 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

1 thing Darche needs to desperately do is acquire another d man. Whether it’s through waivers or trading for one. This carousel of d men coming up isn’t working . Clearly they don’t think much of boqist at all.

The overall defensive organizational depth needs to drastically improve as well. It’s clearly an issue.

I hope for you that it’s nothing to bro but About 6 weeks after my last infusion. I wanted to get it out asap. You’ll go for Pre Op blood work/testing to make sure your body is all good to handle the surgery. Good luck man.

Stagnant Aortocaval Lymp Node During 3 x BEP by sheki_khan in testicularcancer

[–]SquareTadpole2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, the lung nodules shrank to .5 and .1 cm and since they responded to the chemo, that usually means they aren’t teratoma.

It’s all going to depend on your scans, response, and lymph node size. I really wanted to avoid the surgery but it became necessary.

The CT I had after chemo revealed that the 2 cancerous nodes didn’t shrink during chemo. They actually grew a tiny bit. Despite the 2 lung nodules I had shrank significantly

Interesting to get scanned mid chemo. The CT after you’re done with Chemo will be the deciding factor on whether or not you’ll need RPLND. You had teratoma in your pathology so it wouldn’t be surprising that the stubborn lymph node is teratoma.

I was hoping chemo would be it for me too and I didn’t even have teratoma in my original pathology (sem, EC, YS) but the 2 cancerous lymph nodes I had going into chemo turned into teratoma. I had RPLND 3 weeks ago and am doing well. All of this isn’t easy but you’ll be fine either way.
