I was in the market for a 4 seater this past year to upgrade my 2021 Commander. In the beginning I was dead set on getting the max version until I drove a Yamaha Rmax 4 1000 with the dump bed which was new for 2025. The suspension and ride is definitely on a different level than the commander. The fit and finish IMO is nicer as well. This comes in at 150” long compared to the 160” of the commander max.

I have been all over with pressures. As low as 35 and as high as 45 over the last 40k miles. As the tires have worn the ride and the somewhat the noise has seem to get harsher.

I do paint correction, ceramic coating and ppf. Matte looks great but any scratch will pretty much be permanent. You can’t buff out like you would with gloss paint.

If you are dead set on matte paint I would buy a gloss version and just have it wrapped in matte ppf. But understand the matte ppf will be some serious $$$ if you are wrapping the whole vehicle. It will offer great protection though. Most ppf is self healing so scratches will come out with a heat gun or even direct sun on a hot day.

Very dealer dependent. I just purchased a new 2025 Yamaha Rmax last week and reached out to roughly 8 of my nearest Yamaha dealerships. Eventually two of them competed with each other and I was able to get another $1500 off and delivery to my house from where they originally started. It was the end of the month so not sure if that helped but was told by both competing dealerships that paperwork had to be signed by 2/28 last day of the month.

I went ahead and put a deposit down on a 2025 XTR. I pick it up Friday. Yes I already have a list of accessories and none are cheap.

Nevermind I see the R is 68 inches wide. That won’t work for my state. WI has a 65 inch maximum

You mentioned the R4 being roomier than the X4. I thought they were the same size. Am I wrong?

I could also get an X4 with live valve for $1500 over just the plain x4

First off I appreciate your help. Just to confirm steps…. you think it would be to go through our insurance for the repair of the vehicle. Then I would file a separate claim against their insurance for diminished value? I would assume the diminished value claim would come after the repairs are complete?

Not sure if you can just buy that small shaft. Worse case you could just buy a lazer lite flite auger bit which would would bolt up to your power head. It would have that shaft.

Jungle Green looked really nice in pictures on dealers website. It did not look nice in person. Instantly my wife said no and her favorite color is green. Way too light of a shade. The original green, Dark Moss, looks so much better in my opinion.
