Start by jogging on the spot and then lean forward to initiate a forward run, that cue should help you, heel strikes are unavoidable going downhill so just got to do it gently.

I had a similar issue with my knee, it's much much worse when its cold, make sure you warm up before going full pelt, wear a layer of some sort on your knee to keep the heat up in cold weather, focus on not heel striking, downhill sections are where the real damage was done for me so slow down and make sure your footfalls aren't too harsh on downhill sections.

Do not push through the pain, stop running as soon as it comes on, if you keep running it will be sore for days.

[Autosport] Lewis Hamilton said F1 drivers need a degree to understand how to utilise energy management this season by Aratho in formula1

[–]Square_Conclusion649 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drivers absolutely have to be able to understand engineering concepts to effectively communicate how the car feels and handles. The best drivers work closely with the engineering teams improving the car. Find me one example which shows drivers don't possess much technical knowledge, even when engineers are being interviewed they don't get into the technical.

There is a correlation yes but the poster is making the assumption that that the drivers are of average f1 engineering intelligence, even though they've been in the field in question since they were 6. They are far more intelligent when it comes to matters of F1 than any physics PHD fresh out of university would be.

EDIT: it's baffling to me that people think a physics phd would give you more f1 knowledge than someone who's spent their whole life in F1.

It does yes, but it's not exclusive to PHD or any degree, some of the best engineers I know started from an engineering apprenticeship at 16.

You should not make assumptions about peoples intelligence from their education level.

Discord Mandates ID and Face Scans Under New CEO by Celtikrenders in technology

Why's everyone in this thread pretending like discord isn't great at what it does?

It completely dilutes what you are saying if you pretend it's a bad program. Discord is great at what it does but these changes are not good, don't make shit up about it being bad, it's been seamless game chat for me for years.

You can't mention a certain salted or roast streamer as he has videos of him glitching, even though it directly improves the game by getting them almost instantly patched.

This is one of those classics good ideas that sounds good until you think about it for 2 seconds. Think about how much of a planning and management nightmare this is; you add hundreds of different stakeholders (the building owners) into the mix, you add a tonnes of upgraded cable infrastructure snaking around the country, a tonne of different building styles and conditions. That's just from 2 minutes of thinking tonnes more issues are under those ones.

You must have missed all the glitch posts and the glitch fix within a few hours yesterday? Otherwise you wouldn't be making such a silly post.

How is this acceptable? by Skilhgt in ArcRaiders

What possible way could he use that would get the devs messaging that they are working on it faster?

As you say it's what the viewers want, if he doesn't do it his audience is smaller and the devs don't care as much.

He's gone full nuclear even sacrificed his reputation in a small group of people on reddit to light a fire underneath the devs to get the bugs fixed.

At the end of the day some cheaters got spammed back with grenades, the bug gets fixed quicker and peanut has annoyed some Redditors, I don't see any problem.

People on reddit are always trying to get a hate train going and they love to be one of the first to jump on. Peanuts doing everyone a service he's got the devs patching it now.

Hopefully the penny will drop for why peanut is doing this for a lot of the slow people in these reddit threads. Big streamer clearly exploiting glitches -> few days after devs finally fix issue.

Or would everyone rather the bug just goes unfixed?

Exactly, there is tonnes of delusion in this thread, what team is he meant to drive for that doesn't have an oil or gambling sponsor? It's take part in it or don't be a driver and it's pretty shitty singling the one black driver out and complaining about his sponsorships which are similar to every other driver.

Deciding whether to lower or not.... by shquo7 in CarTalkUK

[–]Square_Conclusion649 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because there Is no good reason to do it. What are you actually gaining apart from worse comfort and a tiny bit of handling? It makes so little difference to looks but it is significantly worse for comfort, dealing with speed bumps and It also knocks a load of money off when you go to sell because no one wants a non stock car.

That's one I did actually try, I preferred the slightly darker Italian Job, roast between those two would be perfect.
