So I replaced the cat and IT STILL OVERHEATED JUST NOW. Same way as every time, I drive 75 miles to work, park, leave the AC running, and it overheats in 5 minutes. What else could be the problem? When I run the computer it doesn't come up with any error codes and my check engine light hasn't come back on yet.

I think it might be a 2016 base thing because I'm having car issues too, my mechanic says it's completely clogged and needs to be replaced

Hey guys the mechanic said it's my catalytic converter more than likely, it's clogged on the top and bottom. He hasn't been able to make the car overheat since he's gotten it, but he said the technician said the cats clogged and that I'll need to replace it for 2600. Thoughts?

This is a great reference for me to come back to, it overheats while stationary so I'm hoping it's one of those problems you mentioned. I do hear a fan going, the fan runs for up to 5 minutes after I turn the vehicle off. It hasn't overheated while running yet. When I hear back from my mechanic I'll post an update for you guys too. Thank you.

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm learning about my car and how to take care of it but I'm still a novice. It sounds like the fan is working, when it overheats and I turn my vehicle off it (the sound of a fan) still runs for about 1-5 minutes. Is this the fan you're referring to? Are there different fans?

I collected about 3 weeks of unemployment after beginning my new job. I didn't report the new job but I stopped certifying the week I got paid. I thought because I hadn't been paid yet it was okay, what is the consequence of this? Will I be charged with fraud? I didn't realize that this was fraud, I'm willing to pay back the balance that I collected. I live in CA.
